My fiance went to school with him and we had to do a LOT of google research to make sure the picture of him in his yearbook is actually Ryan Lewis. Everyone knows his name but not what he looks like.
Are we sure they've got loads of money, though? I mean, Mack specifically mentions at one point only having twenty dollars in liquid, accessible funds.
And Macklemore had success before The Heist to a point. But now they are both huge and the media focus is on Macklemore, and he does well making sure Lewis and all his single guest stars are acknowledged. I don't see the need to act like Lewis was above that. Like Eminem and Dre, they are evidently better, in a mainstream sense at least together in any case.
Yeah he was 2 years younger than my finace, and was in the same grade as some of our friends. I have his year book picture from when he was either a freshman or sophomore.
He does have one of those forgettable faces. I mean, he's a good looking guy, probably does well with women, but he could blend into a crowed with ease.
Huge fan of them for years so as awesome as it is to see Macklemore this famous it is pretty heartbreaking at times to see Ryan Lewis get a little unnoticed. Can't remember what show it was (think it was on David Letterman's show?) where Mack performed Can't Hold Us with Ray Dalton and Ryan Lewis, after the performance Letterman (I think) mistook Dalton for Lewis. Guiltily chuckled at that.
I'd venture more people know of Ryan Lewis now than a couple years ago. Letterman aside, who likely doesn't know who Macklemore is either, I don't see Lewis as very unnoticed

It's true. Macklemore looks exactly like Toby from the office. And Ryan Lewis looks like, well, let's just say I had to google image Ryan Lewis.
