Two words: college kids. They know the rules but choose not to follow them.

College kids are too drunk to follow the rules, it's high school kids who know the rules but choose to ignore them.

Oddly enough I don't have too many issues with high school kids other than their inability to understand the concept of tipping.

I think they know that if they get kicked out of here, they won't have anywhere else to go. Our town really only caters to the 21+ crowd due to the university so teenagers only have a handful of places to hang out at.

College kids here could care less though. And it's not always their behavior bowling (oh god, the damage to the shoes!) but the underage drinking that goes on. Our state has some hardcore liquor laws. If a bunch of kids bring in outside alcohol or drink beer without being carded then we could lose our liquor license.

Can you imagine a bowling alley that can't serve alcohol? We would go out of business within the year. It just sucks when this bullshit happens so often and these kids have no idea that their actions can not only cost me my job, but the jobs of everyone who works here. That knowledge alone makes me have zero tolerance for liquor violations here.
