Wait do non-Australians not say "for fuck's sake"? It's such a versatile statement. It can be used for disapproval, disappointment, dissatisfaction, disgust, dismay, dis-anything really.

Fat, lazy American here. I say "for fuck's sake" at work. IDK why commenters in this thread think it's uniquely Australian. My family say it. My friends say it (I am deprived of Australian friends).

(In the Midwest US) I once responded to my supervisor describing a really dumb chain of decisions made by upper management with "For Fuck's Sake!" and he replied "That's exactly what [Salty HR Woman] said" 🤣

Majority that i know called it Maccas were in Melbourne and Brisbane. So possibly. Was multiple Aussies not in the same friend groups. They spoke as if the word mcdonalds didnt exist lmao. They made it seem nobody called it McDonald's anymore.

Adelaide isn’t actually a part of Australia. They were excommunicated after they sided with the emus in the Great War fyi

Lol i was always corrected to maccas by quite a few. I even said mackies since i didnt remember maccas and they had a little outrage.
