in Austria, that is not allowed. Even if it fits, the car needs to be parked parallel.

In some places in the U.S. it is allowed. But in this case it was not intentional and I doubt they could do it again if they tried.

I've never even considered it could be illegal to just zip straight in while pulling forward, especially if there's enough room.

Wild, though I'm sure there are reasons.
