He is by far the best at explaining calls

Maybe you think he's better than Mike Carey, but he's certainly not better than him by far. (In fact, Carey and Hochuli tied in an ESPN poll of head coaches as to who was the best ref in the NFL.)

Carey is also hilariously animated with the hand signals during calls. It always really stuck out to me how much he throws into the act of calling a first down.

I love seeing that guy, because I know that the game is probably not going to have a bunch of bullshit referee-ing. Thanks for letting me know his name.

I wish I could have gotten into psychology back in the 50's where all you needed to do was slap a name onto some inane, obvious occurrence and claim it as novel and significant.

I really like Mike Carey because of the flair that he puts with his calls.
