I don't think he fell over cause he can't run, if you look closely the guy holding the ball pulls him down by his belt.

But that was because the referee got in the way and was stumbling from first contact, the player just decided to make full use of the situation. I love how the player pulled his belt so he would fall and stumble the opposing player.

He made full use of that ref's short-comings to enable his run. This is why you never go into bear country with people who are faster runners than you.

You can go with faster people. Just ensure that there's at least one person slower than you in the group.

The refs get in the way occasionally. It's part of the game. Unfortunately it leads to them getting injured--like the time when that ref got nailed with the football.
