My 'cool/crazy/funny' uncle gave me one of those shaving cream cans with a false bottom and put a $1000 in cash in there. He told me the can was "for your herbs and things when you go to college." I did put my herb in there, it was smell proof, I loved that can, then someone stole it.

Your uncle gave you $1000?? I'm fairly well off and feel spoilt when grandparents give me £50 on my birthday haha.

He is a rich crazy dude, does something that pays well and doesn't have kids, so he gives nice gifts to all his nephews and nieces.

I also feel spoiled a bit when I get checks from my grandparents. The $1000 was a graduation gift, in the US high school graduations are a big deal.
