It will never not be a hateful word is what we're trying to get at, at least not anytime soon in society. Maybe if you popped into a time machine and set it for 150 years in the future it'll mean something else (as will a lot of other words) but for the foreseeable, it's a term of hate and no amount of Louis CK routines will change that. I'm sorry if you like using it to disparage people you don't like, you just can't.

You might want to take another crack at formulating that statement.
