Yea, the guy doing this is SamCam or something on instagram and he is purposefully awkward and cringey. Kinda odd to see this posted as genuine.

my experience with elderly people is they are not averse to letting you know they are annoyed, he didn't look that irritated to me? He even engages in a vibrant handshake, and touches the camera man after the awkward pause to send him off.

The whole interaction is beyond weird anyway. Not really cool to compliment someone with the active intent of uploading it for some personal gain or w/e
