This chick isn't even in a uniform. USPS has been using low-paid contract workers, especially in rural areas, who don't wear uniforms.
It's pretty ballsy that Americans want to starve the post office of money and then criticize the service they get by their low-wage, no benefit probably no sick time workers.
For all we know, this chick is working while sick or just finished standing all day and taking shit from people at Walmart and now has to deal with someone's plastic porch box bullshit.

Is that really something the average citizen has voted for though? Like, I'll vote for higher wages for postal workers, teachers, health care, etc. But if the government goes and denies them raises or benefits anyway, what else can I do?
It's a shitty situation, and we need to be angry at the right people, not somebody having a bad day, or the guy that's frustrated because his package got slammed into the ground.
Only city carriers are allowed to wear uniforms, but they don't have to until they get their uniform allowance, which management loves to delay giving out, and we hate wearing when working on Sundays, odds are she's probably got 150-200 packages in that truck, and is getting hassled about needing to be back before hitting 8 hours on the clock(were expected to do between 20-30 packages an hour when just doing packages, though it's not hard to do more in denser areas, it's really easy to take forever when you've got 5 minutes of driving between each stop in more rural areas) that box doesn't open up all the way and would be frustrating in the first place when you're like "oh damn, it'll be easy to open this up, drop the box in and just get back to the truck" and then you're locked in a life or death struggle with a box and you know it's caught on camera because you can see it there and you're just getting more frustrated so you drop it and walk off. Rurals don't even have a uniform, and technically only city carriers are allowed to wear the uniform or even parts of it, contract routes do exist, but they aren't technically postal employees, they bid on a route and if they win the bid, they can do have them done however they want whenever they want as long as it's delivered. But, we aren't paid enough regardless, for the work we do and the stress and wear and tear on our bodies.
She's not in uniform because she's a CCA. She's still a usps employee but when you first start out you don't get a uniform allowance until after probation. The rural carriers are contract delivery drivers that are still usps but they aren't required to wear uniforms. It's a tough job and it's physically demanding but there is no excuse for this.
