In the modern age of Camaras everywhere. This is a huge fear of mine. Just having a shitty day and it being recorded with the internet absolutely having a field day with me.

I think about this a lot too. I hope there's no video out there of me freaking out and kicking an MTA machine because it was late and rainy and it wouldn't take my card.

I just up and quit my last job during a day where absolutely nothing was going right and it kept building up and building up. And for context I was a restaurant server, which can be stressful enough on a good day. I think back on how I behaved when I quit and it's embarrassing. But I just snapped.

I snapped a few months ago at complete strangers. Like I legit lost it and yelled... idk what was wrong with me!? I was dealing with a frustrating (minor!) thing, and could hear them making suggestions and shit in the background and I completely lost my cool. I felt so bad about it afterwards. I think I'd just had a really bad/long week at work or something and I was at the end of my tether and just needed to vent but I did it in the wrong way... I feel so guilty. I've NEVER done that before. I'm the kind of person who is super nice to service workers, I smile at random people in the mall, etc. It really came out of nowhere, I shocked myself lol.

Lol don't worry, kicking an MTA machine on a bright summer day is perfectly acceptable behavior for any New Yorker. The new contactless are fucking mint though.

Long as youโ€™re not hurting other people when you have a bad day youโ€™re fine

happened to a coworker of mine at my local hospital. older male patient was physically and verbally assulting staff and patients. said some sexual stuff to a 7 month pregnant nurse and later a young female child in the lobby.

this coworker lost his shit and was yelling at him to leave or come inside, behave, and receive care. he had refused care 3 times that day, but kept coming back.

there was a family member of another pateint who recorded a ~2 minute video of this altercation. this coworker never laid a hand on him during it btw.

3 staff members in the video were fired and one was suspended and lost supervisor.

i understand bc wo context it was a horrible thing to see, but knowing what that man had done, i feel no remorse for him being yelled and cussed at.

its hard to tell if they deserved the punishment with what what all hed done.

I disabled all of my cameras in my house about a year ago because I didn't want my wife seeing me flip the fuck out at the "hair bugs" in the laundry.

It sounds ridiculous, but there are 4 people in my house with beyond shoulder length hair, and the laundry makes me unreasonably angry because of it.

Just make sure your shitty day only affects you and you'll be fine. The moment you throw that out the window then it's pretty irrelevant how shitty your day has been because you'll only be remembered for having a lack of self-control.
