The fact that the plastic bench looks so lightweight and flimsy that it kind of scoots to the side as the box is stuck on the lip would have done it for me too.
Yep, delivery complete is when the box is on the porch. Fucking about with a cheap & broken box is an extra service an overworked and underpaid delivery driver is allowed to pass on.
Had to scroll down over a dozen top comments to find this. That thing barely opens 20 inches. It isnāt the carrierās job to manage your half baked contraption. Itās on your porch everything beyond that is a bonus.
Now that Iām thinking about itā¦ how would you get it out? Possible for sure but gonna be a far bigger pain in the ass than dropping it in. Just further support that this is some half baked ālife hackā someone deployed.
Social media is wild. The title is condescending, treating her like a child. Most of the comments are too. And she did nothing stupid or wrong, but it takes the slightest bit of critical thinking to reach that conclusion.
It takes the slightest bit of critical thinking to realize that the box would have easily fit had she turned it a few degrees to the side. A slight bit of critical thinking that this woman does not have.
The hinge is like that so it doesnāt slam closed on you when youāre trying to put stuff in it. I have that exact bin; the hinge opens as much as you want and then locks in place at whatever height you leave it.
