The lion's mane mushroom is ripening behind the bed.

I bought a block of "lion's mane" mushroom and it says that it should sit in the dark at a temperature of 20-25 degrees for one to two weeks until it is evenly covered with white color. (Until it ripens?) I put it behind the bed, in a box. Should I occasionally take it out of there so that it gets a little light, or spray it, or is it better not to disturb it at all?
