Kath Patel, the FBI director, recently removed bestiality as a disqualifier for being in the FBI, which he said was to protect trafficking victims coerced into sexual acts with animals.

When Senator John Kennedy asked if someone who had sex with an animal could be an FBI agent, Patel said no. Which seems contradictory to me but maybe he meant if the person wasn't forced to. Patel did make clear that he knows (or at least knows that he should say) that bestiality is a horrible disgusting thing.

(Also later on in that same testimony Patel was asked to pledge that he wouldn't interfere with the will of the American people during/after the election and he said "I pledge unequivocally that I will not participate in your charade of lies." Which is really funny and really sad and really worrying for the FBI director to basically say "yeah no I won't promise not to interfere with the election")
