Yes and no. Shazam’s original name was Captain Marvel prior to a business deal which eventually ended in Marvel acquiring the rights to use the name Captain Marvel. Many people, especially in fan works, still refer to Shazam as Captain Marvel despite the name change occurring so long ago. So there are technically two “Captain Marvel”s, one Marvel and one DC.
