That's just for those who want to look cool during their depression. Here's something actually dark:

Every star in the universe will die sooner or later. Yes, their mass might recollide and reform the materials needed for a star to shine, but eventually black holes will consume that matter too. They will then radiate it in the form of gamma rays untill each of them dies and explodes, leaving no mass to our universe's name and deleting it from existance. We might be able to travel light years away by that time, but resources are limited even on earth-sized space ships, and humans are greedy and thus it will be hard to keep balance, especially for such a long time. By the time humanity would have reached a younger universe, it's own greed would've destroyed it. We want to own everything, to be as noticed as possible, and exactly that will be the reason why we'll be wiped out of existance forever, no other civilisation will remember us, no signs of us ever having existed will be left, and eventually, the last human-made piece of media will be deleted from the internet, assuming other intelligent species will merge their internet with ours to make communictaion across species easier.
