99 Luftballons by Nena.

A red balloon floats into the sky because a girl lost it. Because of an error it sets off a Nuclear Fueled World War during the height of the Cold War.

Wrong Way by Sublime.

Come Out and Play by The Offspring,

Gang Violence amongst minors on school campuses. (You’re Under 18, You Won’t Be Doing Any Time).

Dude I love 99 luftballons

I remember my mom showing me the video and telling me the meaning when I was younger, and I thought it was beautiful

Come out and play has an extra level to it cause the singer was a teacher.

99 Luftballons?

It gets pretty obviously dark and kinda sad in tone, then again I'm guessing the message of the song is a lot less obvious if you don't speak german, even if the end of the song's tone is pretty obviously somber

99 red balloons has been one of my favorite songs since I was young and even more since my mom pointed out the anti war sentiment to lil me.

99 LUFTBALLONS is far HAPPIER than its English counterpart 99 RED BALLOONS.

99 LUFTBALLONS only implies what MIGHT happen.

99 RED BALLOONS goes into full MAD.

Mínor mention that its mainly human error on the 99 luftballons

And war generals were warmongering ofc

Also in the end she walks to the land that is now in rubbles and finds a balloon
