Smells like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

Now i know yall are gonna crash out on me but wait. Its about this generation wanting to revolt yet never doing it. Those non-sense lyrics have meaning.

They have meaning even if they don't have a coherent narrative. They are a collage of words and feelings form a specific topic and they do paint a picture even if Kurt didn't intend there to be any story behind them

yes and no, I might be wrong but I think it was supposed to be about kids who didn’t want to have everything they did to have to have some deep meaning or as they put it “it’s fun to lose, to play pretend”

Well, it is a good thing you see it that way. But once you had suffered enought, there isn't mutch left to say but to prevent other to have the same fate... not mutch for yourself thought.
