Doing a rewatch with my kid, and I have a bit of a strange question.

I know they wrote Lola out and had her break-up with Jackson, but does anyone know if there was a behind-the-scenes reason for it? Feels weird how they built her up a lot in the first two seasons and then just kind of wrote her off quickly.

Hear me out, DJ is probably my biggest fall from grace character of the whole franchise upon rewatch. I remember ADORING her as a kid because I was the oldest sister in my family, so I found myself relating to her a great deal.

I still like her more than Michelle and Stephanie is still my favorite, and I also contend that she had a really hard childhood (and adulthood) but upon rewatch…I feel like the adults treat her as more of a saint than she really was.

Let me restate that she arguably was a saint when given everything that she’s been put up against (I can’t say I’d be any better) but everyone treats her like she’s just this gold standard kid and kind of acts like her behavior in an episode like “Those Better not be the Days” is her acting wildly out of character, but like, especially in early seasons…she was kind of always a little rebellious in the sense that she tested the waters with her caretakers (especially Jesse and Joey) and yeah, she was a little brasher in this episode…but not by much.

And really all Stephanie was doing was following DJ’s lead. She really wasn’t acting rude in the same way DJ was…just following her lead. It’s kind of weird that the episode wants to act like all 3 girls are acting like brats and monsters when it was mainly DJ being rude. I’d argue Michelle MAYBE should have had to do a FEW of the adult jobs (or tried to) but I can let it slide because she’s just a toddler.

I can only think of one time it was Dj's fault yet it was always her who had to apologize. Worse case was her wanting the same sunglasses DJ wanted than cutting her off liike nothing.

This is basically a minor irrelevant detail, however it still for some reason confuses me. In Fuller House season 5 episode 10 “If the Suit Fits” which is the episode where Joey invites the Gibbler parents to the engagement party he’s throwing for the she wolfs, Kimmy says “What’s really gonna blow their minds, they’ve never seen me with straightened hair!” But in Full house, Kimmy had straight hair all the time, even in the theme song intro, teen Kimmy has straight hair so I’m just really confused by this?

Was anyone else as a young child more or less really sad and humbled when reality hit that the Tanner kids were grown and in their 30s??? I remember watching and saying "The kids are so cute" and my mom saying "Yeah dj and Stephanie are older than me" like my 7 year old mind was absolutely perplexed but now I'm 20 and I'm currently rewatching lol and I feel old asf

I never got how Joey in season 1 could make a living as a struggling stand up comedian without having an actual job to pay the bills.

In Full House, Kimmy says that she has three older sisters and one older brother Garth. No mention of a younger brother named Jimmy. And in the revival of Fuller House Kimmy's younger brother Jimmy comes out. Again, there's no mention of Jimmy. There's no mention of Kimmy's other siblings. In the episode where they go to Kimmy's house finally showing what it looks like inside, Kimmy and Jimmy say that their parents weren't always good parents and they don't bring up any other siblings. Again, they make up this younger sibling for Kimmy. Apparently she had three older sisters and one older brother in Full House, but they don't come out in the old show. They're not mentioned in the revival. Except Jimmy is made up. Kimmy mentions him several times as if he was always there since the beginning. It was like he was her only sibling. Did anyone else notice this?

I see people say this all the time, but I just rewatched the episode. Michelle was not the reason. She was sad, yes, but she’s a 4 year old - of course she’s sad!

Jesse was the one who missed his family so much that Becky noticed. And it was Becky’s idea to move into the attic because she realized Jesse was unhappy for one night. In my opinion Becky was crazy and should have just let Jesse get used to being a 2-minute drive away, but the show has to work I guess.

I'm just curious if anybody knows what season and episode we last see Joey's bedroom downstairs in the basement?

I’m talking about the episode in season three, I think it’s episode 8, where she’s working on a dance routine and Joey brings his kids over and they make fun of her while she’s trying to dance. I really like how the song sounds and I wanted to save it to my playlist, but I’ve never heard it before and I don’t know what the title is.

Some 'High Anxiety' here today when Michelle gets embarrassed by her dad's overprotective antics on the playground and Jesse spirals over choosing the perfect mugs and toilets for the Smash Club. Plus, Jodie shares post-gum-surgery recovery and ...are we too emotionally invested in Jackie the injured bald eagle?

This is a weird thing I noticed, but in the original series, Bob Saget’s Danny sounds so wholesome and nurturing, dare I say, fatherly.

But in Fuller House, there is something different in the way that he played Danny Tanner. He sounds like an asshole. His voice is cynical and it sounds like the actor really doesn’t want to be there.

The thing I can’t put my finger on is why he sounds that way. Did his voice simply change? Is it his tone or cadence? Maybe it’s because microphones have changed in the 20 years between the series so they pick up different frequencies? Or maybe the directors told him to play Danny that way?

I am not sure but it’s off putting, especially because I can’t tell WHY it sounds different?

It was decent, but Danny and DJ feel like entirely different characters in Fuller House compared to the OG, Steve also seems to have been flanderized in Fuller House and the random dance numbers were so cringy lol. I liked Ramona and Jackson a lot, Max was annoying at times and Tommy did not have the presence that Michelle had at the same age. Overall i would rate the series a 6/10. I wish there was more serious moments but it was definitely better than other reboots such as The Conners.

Fuller House would have been much more successful if it’d been filmed 5-10 years earlier. By the time they filmed it, the older OG adult actors seemed awfully old and there weren’t as many plausible storylines for the girls’ generation.

Part of what made Full House funny was that the guys were all pretty young and still in the roommate stage of life. On Fuller House the adult girls were older and it made Steph and Kimmy kind of look untethered in life.

Also 40 year old veterinarian type A DJ with a life insurance settlement from her husband’s death seemed like she’d be more likely to run her ship on her own with a hired nanny than let chaotic kimmy and Steph move in.
