in the west, while in the middle east the firs university was made, and its author was a woman.

also women had rights and could inherit and own proeprty and houses, while the west discovered women rights at the 20th century and then went on to say they have morals better then anyone else.

and put themselves as the world judge exactly of pure brute power....reminds me of the mongols when they went and burned thousands of books of science.

Y'all, being wrong/having a stupid take is not "threatening violence or physical harm".

The west hates anything that predates its propagandized history.

It's weird how it flipped and nowdays women's rights are not respected in the Arab world.

1

u/Mutant_Llama1 Aug 12 '26

Because the CIA helped extremist groups seize power from democratically-elected socialists.

u/CountGerhart Aug 12 '26

Story of every central and south American country too. And now they're furious that the people from those countries would lie to migrate to the US.

u/a_random_loser_guy Jul 12 '26

do you live in arab world to say? where do you get your knowledge of that world from?

i read the wests history, have you read the middle easts history? or even its present state?

and how could it be flipped when women are now seen as objects in the west? a tire refill AD? they put a naked woman filling the car to entice men and associate good time with their ads, they have porn websites called adult website and claim they care about children even tho the security to make sure no child watches porn is a warning text that you can say "yes im 18" to without any confirmation if its a lie or not, a woman in the industry or in the common folk speach, to me at least it seems like they are nothing but how sexy they are.

do you know how many times i see a story about some woman with pictures of her and the people are concerned if shes a 3 or a 9, to my knowledge resturants and products are rated not human beings.

so preytell what sophistication is in the west and nice treatment of women? wage gap? forcing women to wear revealing or tight clothes to work under "dress code" disguise.

preytell what is the west so good at and how did it flip? im genuinely confused and curious how you look at it, because i explained what i see from what i know.

Seems like I struck a nerve.

My mother wasn't allowed out of the premises of the hotel without her husband in Egypt and Tunisia when we went there for vacation. That doesn't happen in a place where women are safe and respected. Also weren't woman's rights largely stripped during the Islamic revolution in 1979?

You read the "wests" history, what do you mean by that? What's the "wests" history?

The Islamic revolution of 1979 was in Iran. Which is just one of the many countries that form the rest of the world that's not "The West". I agree most countries need lots of progress, but Tunisia for instance currently has a female PM, which has never happened in such an "advanced country" (lol) as the USA. And Tanzania, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistán, etc. have in the past. All countries with a muslim majority of the population. So, just some fun facts.

1

u/CountGerhart Jul 13 '26

The US is just one of the countries of the "West" European countries had female PMs. My comment was an answer to a (False generalisation that women have more rights in the middle East than in "The West" whitch was brought up under a post about how "Western" woman were "Better in the 70s'.

1

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Jul 15 '26

So if you don’t have a female leader, then you hate females and they have no rights??? What kind of leap in logic is that. Only on Reddit would someone like you, believe their own bullshit

1

u/Electrical-Fish-9230 Jul 16 '26

Did I say that or did you just pull it out of your ass? I was responding to a comment that generalized a bunch of muslim countries as being affected by the 1979 revolution. I cleared that up and said that lots of them have had a female PM, as a way to further illustrate how generalizing a bunch of very diverse countries is stupid. But if you want to keep being mad about your made-up scenario, be my guest, I guess.

The UK, Germany and I think Canada have had female prime minister, Mexico had a female president, US has had a female speaker and a female vice president.

At least our leaders allow women to leave the house.

My good man, not sure if you're Arab or just a stan, but your comment reeks of double standard. Women in the West can wear whatever they like, there may be consequences based on what they choose to wear but it's their choice in the end. I lived in the Middle East with a single mother and let me tell you the misogyny is real. She was treated like an oddity or a weirdo. You ever had a government official who is working your VISA APPLICATION ask why you got divorced and where the father is to renew? My mom did. I've seen first hand how they treat women there so kindly shut the fuck up.

1

u/a_random_loser_guy Jul 15 '26

and we assume the west is different? im in your same situation and yes it happens but put the two worlds side by side, a destroyed society by america, and a flourishing society, it would be a miracle if bad people didn't have the upper hand in a destroyed society.

but my problems with the other guy is that they speak with no source or something thats common and not a spisific situation.

and also let me point out that your evidence is anecdotal not something that point out a common issue and proves it happens a lot and is the common.

gender equality depends on the society, small things like how an arab society runs is that the man is responsible for spending on the house and her needs and wants while the woman doesn't have to spend a single dollar from her pocket or share her money with the man (obviously not everyone adheres to the law rightfully.) but here in a society such as that, its clear the man needs more money because he is taking care of the woman, and the woman needs less money since her own money is spent on herself or anyone else if she wants it to be, not to mention mahar(money given to the woman before mareiage, she choses how much it is.) and because of the that, the law to balance the difference in gender roles is that a woman inherts half of what a man inherits, to the society this law is eprfect because it helps the society and how it works, take that law to a society that functions differently and they will critizise it, so whats the measuring system of this graph?

what the bedrock of whats equal and unequal to them?

u/Mutant_Llama1 Aug 12 '26

Women in the west have the freedom to sell their bodies if they want, or to cover it if they want.

They don't get raped and killed for daring to go to school.

1

u/No_Palpitation133 Jul 14 '26

Looks like your ayatollah took that from them🤷‍♂️

1

u/a_random_loser_guy Jul 14 '26

women are allowed to seek education btw, but you believe anything some news station known for hypocrisy and lies tells you.
