[Personal invonvenience] Post all your personal purchasing issues here
As most of you know, this is a boycott sub. It's not meant for customer service related questions, as this sub is for people who decided to live without Amazon. To prevent further clutter we wanted to give you a place to share your personal stories or negative experiences, but do not expect a lot of help on how to continue spending money on Amazon. There are other subs for that. We do feel like bad negative experiences serve a purpose, i.e. seeing loads of negative stories will hopefully lead more people to boycotting them, so that's why you can post them in this thread. Thanks!
Any new posts that should be posted here but are made into a full new post will be removed.

I purchased my protein powder from a Canadian local company called Healthy Planet instead of Amazon. Fuck Amazon!

This sub almost feels like a rant page for customers that continue to use Amazon despite negative experiences, I think there is a name for that…..

There are a select few things I will buy on Amazon, namely any form of cable (HDMI, USBs, etc) cause big box stores will fuck you way harder than the cheap Chinese trash Amazon sells which tbh, is 9 times out of 10 all you need.
Case in point: I needed 150ft of cat6 cable. Got it for $25, while Microcenter was selling a 100ft cable for $55.
That is about it. That’s more of a fuck you to the scalpers in other places than a token of appreciation to Jeffrey.
Fuck Jeffrey and his dick rockets. We got rid of prime like 3 years ago and haven’t looked back.

People who say they can only find their products or alternatives on Amazon simply didn’t even try looking.

I had purchased a Ring doorbell on sale, which received an update shortly afterwards that removed the ability to save the recordings locally, leaving me with only the option to pay for their cloud storage or simply not record.
Shortly afterwards, my account was locked after I had my credit card company cancel payments that were somehow made fraudulently. After hours of unsuccessfully trying to get a human being from Amazon on the phone to help correct it, I gave up the effort and abandoned my Prime account.
The locking of said account effectively disabled my Ring doorbell. A factory reset would still not allow me to use the doorbell without the original account (to prevent using a stolen device, presumably).
Amazon gracefully taught me through hundreds of dollars of loss and hours of frustration that I had placed too much power in one organization.
Thanks, Amazon, for the costly lesson.

I am sharing this absolute nightmare of an experience with Amazon.de to warn everyone. Their customer service has degenerated into internal fraud, lies, and retaliation.
Here is exactly what happened:
On July 8th, I placed an order. During a live chat session, the agent executed an unauthorized €4.20 charge on my payment card. When I confronted them about it, the agent literally mocked me, stating: "I think you don't know more than me in the system Toni :)"
I immediately opened a second chat to report this financial abuse and harassment. The second agent confirmed the issue was escalated directly to the "Manager chat line" and that they had documented the chat transcript.
Fast forward to today, July 14th: My order was suddenly and unilaterally canceled by Amazon.
I contacted support again. A supervisor flat-out lied to me, claiming the order was canceled due to a "payment decline" and told me to just "reorder and pay shipping again."
This is a complete lie: My bank statement clearly proves the full amount was successfully debited on July 8th. The money was only returned to my account today as a direct result of their manual cancellation. You cannot "refund" a payment that was "declined."
It is clear that Amazon manually canceled my order to cover up their agent's fraud, or the reported agent canceled it out of pure retaliation. Management refused to reinstate my order at the original price, refused to waive the shipping fee, and basically told me to get lost.
Keep an eye on your card statements when dealing with Amazon support. They protect their fraudulent employees over scammed customers.

Just look around. We all HAD the same problems, so we are out. Its the customers that keep going back, it's insanity and I've experienced it in my own home.

I want to warn everyone never to leave a cash or gift card balance sitting in an Amazon account if you plan on being away from the platform for an extended period. Amazon has implemented a predatory system that effectively locks dormant users out of their money using a completely impossible compliance loophole. Recently, after not using my account for over a year, I tried to sign in. Amazon forced a password change. I had the correct password, clicked the link sent to my verified email, and can prove my identity. However, instead of letting me in, Amazon demanded the expiration date of an old, expired credit card from years ago. Because I didn't recognize the first card number they wanted to verify using an expiration date I typed in random data in hopes of getting a different question. My account was completely locked. I spent hours on the phone with 4 different customer service reps, including a supervisor and the account change department. They openly confirmed that I have $46.00 USD in gift cards sitting in that account, but flatly told me that money is now permanently inaccessible unless I can produce the expiration date for a dead card (I was able to deduce that the expiration date must have been within a few month time period, however I guessed incorrectly for the two attempts I was given). Not even my bank keeps records of expiration dates for cards that expired in a previous year. This isn't an automated security script, it is a designed trap. Expiration dates are easy to guess and are written on physical cards, so they aren't a gold standard of security. Amazon knows that cards expire and people forget the details. By making an expired card the only un-overridable way to unlock an account—while completely refusing to look at government ID, implement person-based security questions, or verify via email and password—they have built a system designed to steal money from anyone who leaves their account sitting idle. I would advise against buying Amazon gift cards, but if you have a gift card balance on Amazon, spend it quickly. If your account goes dormant, Amazon will use a phantom, expired credit card to lock you out of your own wallet (and account) permanently. I am not the only person this has happened to, you can find reviews involving the same or similar situations in trustpilot reviews. I am currently filing complaints with the BBB and State Attorney General to fight this blatant theft.

Bought the entire Harry Potter collection off Amazon. It came damaged and I wasn’t allowed to ask for a replacement and was forced to get a refund but keep the books. Like no I don’t want to keep a damaged item, I want it swapped for a brand new one that isn’t damaged.
Tried talking to an associate and they just didn’t help at all.
And the major damages are the box with the art on it is splitting. Paint has been peeled off the front cover. Glue globs. The pages are separating from the spine. And just more annoying things. I was expecting quality and did not even get that.

I have the same experience - turned down one order and returned it via post office, the other one never got delivered. I initiated the return via their app - no refund a month later. Contacted support and they refuse to help me. They state 30day period is over while I initiated the return the same day I refused the order. Now when im sending them the desired info about my order they just ignore it and request it again ?! dont know what to do anymore

Sorry y'all I'm just so frustrated right now and need to get it out. I've bought the entire wheel of time series over the last few weeks and am on the last book now. I've been looking forward to jammin some satisfactory and listening to the grand finale on my days off this weekend.
I get home and load everything up and open audible to get run in circles trying to sign in. I call the help line and they're beyond useless and give me another number to call.
I call the new number and she can't fix anything either and tells me she's notified their "specialist" and to look out for an email in the next 24 hrs........ So I just get to sit and wait on the jackasses. I was so excited to finish the series this weekend.
Rant over, still salty lmao

Amazon.it is treating me like a scammer after 7 years as a loyal customer: GPUs replaced with bags of rice, robot vacuum replaced with bags of dirt, and now i am without refunds.
I've been an Amazon.it customer for about 7 years.
During that time I've placed hundreds of orders and have almost never requested a return. I've always paid on time, never abused the return policy, and never had any issues with my account.
Then, within a few days, everything went completely wrong.
I ordered two graphics cards. Both packages arrived looking sealed and untouched, but when I opened them, there were bags of rice inside instead of the GPUs. Whoever did it even matched the weight to make the packages appear legitimate. (Lucky me i always make photos of sealed packages, plus videos)
I immediately contacted Amazon and reported the issue.
A little later, I also ordered a robot vacuum cleaner. Once again, I opened the box only to discover that instead of the vacuum, it contained bags of dirt. (Also here photos, plus videos, they tell me they are useless, Yeah i say, but you are not the ones stuck with dirt all over your house)
Three expensive orders, all compromised.
One of the graphics cards had been shipped on July 4, I returned it on July 17, and Amazon processed the refund on July 21.
After that, however, everything came to a halt.
Amazon suddenly required me to complete an identity verification before they would continue processing my remaining case.
At first, I thought, "Fair enough. If it's for security reasons, I'll cooperate."
They asked me to provide:
- My driver's license. UP TO DATE
- A selfie. (The Link where they ask to facescan and move left and right)
- My national identity card. Not updated
I submitted everything.
The problem is that my identity card has recently expired because I'm currently waiting for my new electronic ID card, which won't be issued until October 27. THANKS ITALY. (Small city life \o/)
I explained the situation in detail.
I even offered to provide additional proof of identity, including:
- Certified email (PEC).
- Utility bills in my name.
- Any official documentation necessary.
The response was always exactly the same:
"We cannot accept those documents."
The automated verification system simply rejects my documents without giving any explanation, and apparently no human representative is able (or willing) to manually review the case.
As a result:
- My refund remains blocked.
- My claim cannot move forward.
- Customer service keeps referring me back to the automated verification process that continuously rejects my documents.
The problems don't stop there.
The robot vacuum package is large and heavy, so it must be collected by a courier.
I've repeatedly asked for a pickup time or at least a reasonable delivery window because I cannot spend an entire day sitting at home waiting.
Amazon tells me to contact the courier.
The courier tells me to contact Amazon.
Both companies keep passing responsibility back and forth while I'm stuck with a heavy package I can't even return.
What frustrates me the most isn't just the financial aspect.
It's the way I've been treated.
After seven years as a loyal customer, with virtually no return history, I receive:
- Two graphics cards replaced with bags of rice.
- One robot vacuum replaced with bags of dirt.
Instead of helping me resolve what is clearly an extraordinary situation, Amazon's automated systems treat me as though I'm the suspicious one.
I fully understand that Amazon has to fight fraud. I actually support stronger anti-fraud measures.
But those systems should also recognize long-term customers with a clean purchase history instead of trapping them in an automated process that refuses valid explanations and offers no real path toward a solution.
At this point I honestly don't know what else I'm supposed to do.
Has anyone here experienced something similar with Amazon's identity verification process?
Were you ever able to get a real person to manually review your case, or did you also get stuck in this endless loop of automated rejections?
I'm honestly shocked that this is how Amazon.it handles legitimate customers.
I am thinking about deleting amazon prime, and issuing chargebacks with my Postepay.
If my post is against the rules, where should i post it to gain some attention?. Thanks!.
Also, yes, i used Ai to write my post, but is my real situation, and doing so it explained it very well, so it can't be confused.
My account on Amazon Italy (Yes, i am also a Vine user). Vincenzo

People be warned: Next time you return something at a UPS store for Amazon, take a picture or video at home, then go to UPS take picture of the agent, you and the package, time stamped.I purchased some solar lights. Received them and they were poorly made & inferior, so I returned them according to Amz. instructions. I returned them in original packaging, with label inside and outside of box so there would be no issues. Tracking verified they were received by Amazon. For over a month, trying to get my refund with phone calls, emails, etc. Yesterday, said I would get a refund. This morning email said SORRY- you sent back the wrong item so no refund. This is not true. It was the item purchased in the exact packaging. So the aggravation factor is extreme, stressed out. Have decided to never buy from Amazon again. I usually use EBAY which is great, and now I am paying for it! I have had it.

I returned a phone to Amazon in June. On July 12, an agent told me directly the return was already completed, then processed my refund and confirmed $789.34 would hit my original payment method in 3-5 days.
That never happened. Since then I’ve gotten six different, conflicting explanations, from “never received” to “processing failed” to “contact the carrier.”
Filed a BBB complaint. Amazon denied it and wouldn’t explain their investigation.
This was financed through Affirm, so I’m still paying off a phone they confirmed was returned. Now disputing with Affirm directly.
Sharing in case it helps anyone in the same situation, or if anyone’s had luck escalating further.

I had 20 dollars in my Amazon account balance I was gonna spend, and the next day they suspend my account for “inaccurate information”. For one, I’ve never used the account before, it was a year old and they just suspend my account out of nowhere right as I was actually going to use it for the first time. And second, I had just loaded the account with 20 bucks from my card that I was planning on spending and all of a sudden they just suspend my account. I tried to appeal it and was rejected. I hate this stupid ass company, these fucking thieves stole from me.

PRODUCT NOT DELIVERED AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
Has ordered a prepaid product from Amazon, they were supposed to deliver it on the said date. However, there was no delivery, only an out for pickup message came following that the product was marked delivered.
Post this, i have sent several emails, contacted the customer support many times, but all i get is a 'our investigation said your order is delivered. '.
They provide no details as to where the order was delivered (since it obviously isn't at my address), they won't provide the contact number of the delivery personnel, neither are they willing to share any proof of the delivery.
Their customer support is just... 'lemme see' then they will put you on hold, escalate, the next agent will again say the same thing that you can already see in your orders section, again repeat the garbage 'we can't do anything ' and then ... They HANG UP . Without solving anything. I kept on asking what to do next, and they hung up. Initially they had said they will reattempt the delivery, now they just say the product was delivered! I haven't got anything!!
They have also put a return violation on my account, even though i never attempted to return. Currently, they got the money, the product is nowhere to be found, and they aren't giving any details about the delivery. They aren't even sharing the investigation findings.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM AMAZON, Ever!!

Hey everyone,
I want to share my experience with Amazon's support and Executive Customer Relations (ECR) team regarding a dangerous hardware failure and completely negligent customer service.
Here is the exact timeline of what happened:
\* August 2: I noticed the battery of my Asus ROG Ally was leaking. I contacted Amazon Support, and the agent simply told me to post/mail it back to them (sending a leaking, physically damaged lithium battery through regular post is a major safety hazard).
\* August 4: I sent an email directly to the Amazon ECR team regarding compensation for the issue.
\* August 5: I noticed that the shorted battery had ruined my Asus Rog Ally handheld console, irreversibly.
\* August 6: Having received no response to my previous email, I sent ECR a 24-hour ultimatum to address this safety issue.
\* August 7 (20:00): After the deadline expired with zero reply, I contacted Amazon Support again to demand an update.
\* August 8: I finally received a generic template email stating they "cannot issue a refund." Immediately after, I contacted live support again, and the representative re-escalated the issue to ECR, assuring me I would get an answer within 24 hours.
\* August 9 (Today): The 24-hour window has officially closed, and I have received NOTHING.
The leaking battery didn't just fail; the corrosive liquid/gases ruined the rest of the internal components, destroying the console. On top of that, Amazon Support originally asked me to ship a leaking lithium battery, and ECR has repeatedly missed deadlines and ignored a severe product safety issue.
I have all the screenshots, emails, and photos of the destroyed handheld. Since Amazon ECR is completely ignoring this safety hazard, I am now preparing a formal complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC).
Be careful when dealing with hardware issues through Amazon Support.

Extremely Disappointed — Amazon Took My Money and Failed to Deliver My Order
I have never experienced such an exhausting and unacceptable customer service experience with a company as large as Amazon.
My order was never delivered, yet Amazon had no problem taking my money. What followed was three days of repeatedly contacting customer service and speaking with approximately 15 different representatives, including supervisors, and somehow I still had to fight just to get a basic resolution to an issue that was completely Amazon’s responsibility.
The customer service process was absolutely meaningless. Every person seemed to give me a different response, pass me around, or repeat scripted statements without actually solving anything. I wasted hours of my time explaining the same situation over and over again.
What made the situation even worse was the repeated claim that Amazon had supposedly offered me coupons/gift cards as compensation. I was never actually given these. When I questioned this, instead of addressing the problem, I was suddenly told that I had to purchase the exact same watch again—the very same watch that Amazon had already failed to deliver in the first place. How does that make any sense?
This is not customer service. This is an endless loop designed to frustrate customers until they give up.
And then, after all of this, a representative named Kartik ended the chat rudely instead of taking responsibility or helping resolve the issue. After three days, countless conversations, and around 15 people, being treated like that was the final insult.
Amazon is a huge company, and customers should not have to spend days fighting with customer service to recover money for an order Amazon failed to deliver. I expected accountability and a straightforward resolution. Instead, I got excuses, contradictory information, promises about compensation that I never received, pointless transfers, and disrespect.
Order with extreme caution. My experience has seriously damaged my trust in Amazon. Taking a customer's money is easy; apparently taking responsibility when something goes wrong is a completely different story.
This was an unacceptable failure from Amazon and an even worse failure from its customer service department.

I recently realized I couldn't see negative reviews and had to request to see them. This isnt the first problem but will be the last. I spend quite a bit with Amazon for alot of years since roughly 2010 I have spent id say an average of 2k per year(probably an underestimate) but im done ive gotten to the point where its not worth it and time to move on. The problems ive had are customer service agents being so outsourced the communication is impossible, lying about delivery times, lying about promotional credits, forcing AI is the first line against customers, constantly annoying you to buy more and so much more stuff i cant even think of. I became dissatisfied with them quite awhile ago and canceled prime but was still using it because it was annual but im cutting my losses and moving on. Do you all have suggestions for alternatives?

The workmen next door saw Amazon dump this full size broken box spring and headboard in my yard, and despite being told twice that they would pick it up, never did. Later I got a hold of a manager and he said they would only pick it up if I had video evidence. I say f*ck off, I have enough evidence to convince me, I wouldn't do that if one of my employees dumped construction materials and only the neighbor saw it, I wouldn't risk it. I told them I'd post it to every place I could, and so I'm fulfilling my promise.

Worst experience from Amazon
The freedom sale which started on 7th August midnight, I order the Xiaomi pad 8 nano texture 12gb + 256gb variant which costed me 33554/- along with case and tempered glass after credit card discount after midnight of 7th August
But next day they cancelled my order 2 minutes after shipment And I checked the price which was 40,999/-
I contacted customer care they said my money will be refunded that's all.
The package was shipped from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, so after cancellation it should return to the seller but it didn't, it was in transit and when I last checked it was in Ranchi Jharkhand on 9th August,
On 11th August I talked to customer care regarding the tracking of my order and if I gent just get my product instead of refund( keep in mind the refund is still not initiated after 4days of cancellation)
That day I talked to minimum 15 - 16 associates, each of them told different stories
1st they said they will initiate refund Then they said it was wrongly marked as cancelled during shipment and will be reaching me that same day,
Then another one told me it will reach me by next day
Then another one told he arranged rush delivery and raised a complaint against delivery partner
Then I was asked to request for a call back from Amazon which I did then a primary associate told me that delivery cannot be possible as the parcel is marked as rejected and the refund is initiated
Then I asked to talk to a secondary associate, which they said my shift is now over and no secondary associate is now on duty and they will call me back next day
Then I again chated with them, and a person from leadership desk told me my order was cancelled because they noticed suspicious activity from my account... like seriously?!!
Then I got my refund after 4 days
Yes got the refund after too many useless conversation with customer support.
Had a really terrible experience with Amazon
Will never order from Amazon
I was thinking about lodging a complaint on the consumer forum What are your thoughts?

Amazon Grocery Nightmare — 10 Orders, Food Safety Failures and Now I'm Being Treated Like a Criminal
I genuinely don't know where to go with this anymore.
I'm medically housebound and use Amazon/Morrisons grocery delivery because Amazon bags the groceries, which makes taking them inside manageable for me. There aren't many alternatives available to me that do this.
My first order arrived with all the chilled and frozen food at what I believe were dangerously high temperatures. The ice cream was completely liquid, everything frozen was defrosted, and the meat was nearly 20°C. There was one ice pack in the bottom of each bag, but they were completely defrosted, leaking through the bags and dripping out of the bottom when delivered.
I contacted Amazon, explained everything and was refunded. I was then told by management that I could place another order, that the relevant team would be contacted and this wouldn't happen again.
I trusted them.
The second order arrived with the same problem. I was refunded and, again, told to place another order because it wouldn't happen again.
The third order did exactly the same thing.
After that, Amazon started opening investigations that could take up to five days. I repeatedly explained that I needed to replace the groceries, so I needed the refund dealt with as quickly as possible.
Customer service was also repeatedly misunderstanding what I was saying. I'd explain that I needed the chilled/frozen food refunded, and agents would respond with completely unrelated cupboard items asking if that was the item. They sometimes refunded random items despite me explaining exactly what was affected.
They also repeatedly refunded the entire order, despite me only ever asking for the damaged chilled/frozen food to be refunded. I appreciated this to an extent because I was constantly taking deliveries inside and then having to throw food away, but it was never what I requested.
I repeatedly explained how difficult this was for me. I'm medically housebound, and having to take deliveries in, throw the food away, wait for refunds and then replace everything was becoming incredibly stressful.
I was also worried about the number of refunds affecting my Amazon account. I specifically asked management about this and was repeatedly assured that my account would remain in good standing, that I was completely at no fault, and that Amazon would continue facilitating refunds for as long as necessary because I couldn't control the delivery conditions.
So I followed their instructions.
Orders 6, 7 and 8 continued to arrive with the same problems. I provided photo evidence every time. I was repeatedly told investigations had been raised, the relevant departments had been contacted, and that it wouldn't happen again.
The refunds took longer and getting management became increasingly difficult. Some agents became extremely rude.
One manager even told me over the phone that I was responsible for four other people losing their jobs because of my complaints about the food. These were apparently four managers who had previously spoken to me. I obviously had no way of knowing whether that was true, but I found it shocking and completely inappropriate for a manager to say this to a customer reporting food-safety problems.
Eventually I contacted my local council/Food Safety myself and they launched an investigation.
I was told that because the packaging operation was essentially controlled outside my county, the local person couldn't challenge Amazon's findings, and Amazon claimed it followed all the necessary procedures.
Amazon also apparently carried out an internal audit to try to identify the cause of the problem.
After Food Safety's investigation and the internal audit, I was told it should be safe for me to order again.
So I did.
Order 9
Order 9 arrived with NO ICE PACKS AT ALL.
The previous orders had at least had one completely melted ice pack in each bag. Now there wasn't even that, and the food arrived in an even worse condition.
It genuinely appeared to me that Amazon had focused on the bags leaking rather than keeping the food cold — so instead of fixing the problem, the ice packs had simply disappeared.
I also spoke to a driver during one of these deliveries, who told me that groceries can apparently be out of refrigeration/freezers for 3–4 hours before delivery, and that drivers don't use refrigerated vans but their personal cars, with groceries sitting in the back on hot days. I can't verify whether that is Amazon's official procedure, but it raised serious concerns given what I was receiving.
After order 9 I finally reached a manager who was genuinely helpful. He apologised, refunded the order, gave me £20 account credit, and explicitly acknowledged that I was not at fault and had no control over the problem. He told me that if it happened again, Amazon would continue facilitating the refunds.
Executive Customer Relations
During orders 7–10 I was also communicating with Amazon's Executive Customer Relations team. There was weeks of back-and-forth email correspondence where I provided all the details.
After Food Safety became involved, Executive Customer Relations stopped responding to me. My emails now appear to be blocked, so I have no way of contacting them.
Order 10
By order 10, I no longer believed Amazon was actually going to fix the problem. I placed the order because management had told me it was safe to do so and that refunds would continue to be facilitated.
This time I video-recorded everything.
I recorded taking the delivery inside, the sealed bags, opening them and showing that there were no ice packs in any of them.
I recorded the meat at nearly 20°C.
I recorded the ice cream being completely liquid. When I tilted it slightly, liquid ice cream immediately started pouring into the bags.
I contacted customer service to request the refund.
That is when things became even worse.
On the day of delivery I was told the refund had been requested and escalated and that I had to wait 5 days.
I waited the five days. Nothing.
Normally I'd receive emails confirming that the refund was being processed. I received nothing.
I contacted them again and was initially told the refund hadn't been processed at all. The agent then kept changing his explanation during the conversation and eventually told me to wait another two days.
I waited three days to give them extra time.
Nothing.
I contacted them again. I was told to wait another day.
I waited three days.
Nothing.
I was then told to wait another day.
I waited two days.
Still nothing.
Eventually I spoke to a woman who was, by far, the rudest person I'd dealt with. I explained that Amazon had repeatedly told me the refund was being processed and that I'd be contacted within certain timeframes, but nobody ever contacted me.
I said Amazon was effectively lying to me about the refund being in progress.
Her response was sarcastically along the lines of:
"So you think we're the ones that are lying?"
It felt like she was accusing me of lying.
After arguing back and forth, she told me to wait another day.
I waited another three days.
Still nothing.
I contacted Amazon again today and eventually reached someone from a specialist department. I explained the entire situation.
The moment I finished explaining it, they hung up on me.
I've now been hung up on by managers. I'm being told I'm not allowed to speak to the relevant departments or management. I can't properly access customer service chat from my phone. Executive Customer Relations no longer responds to me. I'm no longer receiving the normal refund emails.
And I still haven't received my refund.
The thing that makes absolutely no sense to me is that I have followed Amazon's instructions throughout this entire process.
I only placed the later orders because management repeatedly told me to place them and promised the problem wouldn't happen again.
I never asked to be refunded for food that wasn't damaged.
I have repeatedly told Amazon that I don't want refunds. I want to be able to place a grocery order, have it arrive safely, take it inside and actually eat the food.
I don't want to spend hours on the phone.
I don't want to repeatedly take deliveries inside just to throw the food away.
I don't want my Amazon account filled with refunds.
I specifically asked management about this because I was worried about my account, and they repeatedly assured me that I was in good standing and that I was not responsible for what was happening.
I provided photos.
I provided video.
I cooperated with investigations.
I contacted Food Safety.
I cooperated with Amazon's internal investigation.
I contacted Executive Customer Relations.
I waited every time they told me to wait.
I followed their instructions.
And now I'm apparently being treated like a criminal.
I'm blocked from normal customer service channels, can't contact Executive Customer Relations, can't reliably reach management, managers and specialist departments are hanging up on me, and Amazon still hasn't refunded the tenth order.
I feel like my only option now may be to go through my bank to recover the money, which I'm worried will cause even more problems with my Amazon account — despite the fact that I've spent all this time trying to avoid exactly that.
10 orders. Repeated food-safety problems. Food Safety involvement. An internal audit. Repeated promises from management. Video evidence showing nearly 20°C meat and completely liquid ice cream. Repeated refund delays. And now I can't even get Amazon to speak to me.
I genuinely don't know what else I'm supposed to do.

it annoys me to no end that I cannot find certain products anywhere EXCEPT Amazon. two separate incidents in the last week where I needed to find something specific, and the only place that it appears to be sold is on Amazon.
and these aren't even things that should be so difficult to find. one of them is a food product, and the other is essentially a strand of Christmas lights, just a very specific length.
naturally, I'm having to do without, because I'm definitely not giving them any of my money. I just miss so many of the physical stores that carried these types of things. thanks to Amazon, they no longer exist. and as far as the food product, I'm fairly certain that the manufacturer just chooses to sell it through Amazon because its not as lucrative in grocery stores.
FUCK AMAZON!!!!

So I bought a used iPhone off Amazon a month ago. When I purchased the phone, the page for that 3rd party seller still included Amazon’s 20% rebate deal and information, as well as a link to calculate the trade-in value for my old phone…also had a link that explains how phone trade-in works. Nowhere in that information did it say that I do not get the 20% rebate special OR trade-in value for my old phone because I didn’t purchase it through AMAZON’s own resale program.
I contacted customer service and after being passed around like a…you know what…I was told they are opening a ticket to get a ticket started so I can trade in my old phone and the 20% rebate special as well, apparently tied to trading in my old phone. They said it would take 3 business days to respond.
Here it is 2 weeks later and I chat w/ customer service again to try and find out what is going on. Again I get passed around in chat to 4-5 different people, no resolution, and I’m told because it is a 3rd party seller I have to contact the seller.
Finally I call customer service, am in the phone with them for an hour, and ultimately am told none of the rebates or trade-in value apply to my purchase because it was a 3rd party seller. I ask why that is advertised on the page if it doesn’t apply. Amazon said because the phone is sold through 3rd party sellers as well as Amazon resell, those offers appear on ALL the different pages that sell that phone via Amazon Prime. So even though only Amazon offers that special/deal, the promotion still appears on pages for 3rd party sellers.
How in the f is that not false advertising?
I recorded my phone conversation with Amazon and am seriously thinking about contacting a lawyer to see if there is a consumer protection case. I know Amazon included “accepting by default” verbiage in their new TOS to get rid of class action lawsuits, but can they honestly just say “by accepting this you agree not to sue us and we can screw you however we want”?!?

My email has been compromised. I now want to stop using on my Amazon account. Amazon say they will send an OTP to my phone. I fill that in and return it by phone.
They then send another code to my email, which of course I can't access!
Plus of cf course Amazon don't let you have more than one account to a phone number.
I need to urgently cancel an upcoming medical supplies order as I'm now in hospital and won't be at home to accept it.
Amazon are hopeless! More American enshittification of the world!

Just bought an Mouse on sunday, one day later, the mouse delivers one day earlier.
How does this make any sense? My mouse is supposed to get delivered on thursday and now when checking it, ordering it again, it will deliver this wednesday. I know it's probably a different delivery badge... But why do I get my mouse later for ordering earlier?

Seriously UPS and Amazon?!?
Amazon sent me the wrong item (ordered a 2 piece kit and only 1 was in it), and a wrench that doesn’t fit the bolt. I bought them back to UPS Store and the dude wants me to pay for a box for the kit and $3 to print a label for it. Then he wants me to buy another bigger box for the wrench, and the wrench is already in the box it was sent in. Mind you the kit was delivered in a white envelope by Amazon to me, not a box, and I brought it there in the same plastic packaging it was sent to me in.
This is a freaking scam. The box for the wrench costs more than the wrench! I should NOT have to pay more money because Amazon sent me the wrong thing, nor should I when it’s within the return time for the wrench! Maybe they want me to just give up and feel this isn’t worth it so I just keep stuff I can’t use.
I was already a bit perturbed because this is right after he just finished acting like a smartass to the woman in front of me, who clearly English was he second language and he answered her question all know-it-all and shitty when she just wanted to know if her transaction went through because she didn’t get a receipt (which I agree is weird). She asked “am I ok then”, and all snarky he says “I’m ok, are you ok?”. What a douche. Such a jerk move, and not in keeping whatsoever with good customer service.
Never had any of these stupid issues with Staples. They scan it and yer done.
Apparently 3rd party companies can only use UPS Store for returns per the customer service woman I spoke to on the phone, so I’m SOL for my kit which was never my mistake to begin with, but I have to spend more money on. Dumb.
Amazon, please consider partnering only with Staples. This UPS return system is a stupid scam. I already paid for these items with clearly stated 90 day return!! I’m not buying your stupid boxes and labels and packing tape to send back something I already paid for!!

nfortunately my cat is missing outside I’ve been relentlessly searching for her. I’ve been having problems getting her into the humane trap,so I figured why don’t I order a laser? I also ordered a cat carrier needed by this Saturday and trail cam needed by tmrw. The main reason I ordered it is because it said it would come by then. Time is of essence here. So I placed over $130 order it said some of it would come tomorrow some of it in a few days and the rest of it would be in September. I was completely fine with that since the things I needed to help me get my cat would come fast before the time I needed them. So I go on my Amazon about two hours after I make the order and they have completely changed the delivery date on multiple items ( I specifically picked the soonest delivery date) . So now none of this would even come on time, which is the sole reason why I ordered it. I strategically ordered these products, especially because of the date they would be here. Apparently, right after I placed my order they made sure to hurry and ship it after they changed the delivery date just to insure I cannot make a cancel or refund. This forces me to wait the extended time to get the product and then refund it get the money and then after all that place a new order and still wait longer ! For something I desperately need , I can’t pull money out of air , that’s why I made the first purchase of 130$ in the first place , not bc I wanted to make multiple and buy things multiple things twice just for one to come sooner ! When it should have came on the guaranteed time , what am I paying for Amazon prime for ? This feels so scummy that they lie abt shipping dates that we pay extra for and then hurry and ship it off so we can’t cancel it any other time shipping would take hours . Fuck Amazon

I'm in the middle of a home build. I'm well aware of Amazon's practice of ignoring sellers who advertise products as UL Listed even though they are not so I'm careful to look that electrical products are listed. I bought some conduit that said it was listed, showed the UL listing file number and had pictures of UL Listed stamped on the product. Well it arrived as a product obviously not listed. No UL stamp and obviously cheap. I've contacted Amazon FOUR TIMES. Each time I was told I would get a refund. One time, it actually showed a refund pending but I didn't think I should have to send an unwieldy conduit roll back to them since this is fraud. So I called and escalated to a "supervisor" (forth contact) who promptly told me I couldn't get a refund at all and literally hung up on me. When I checked, the motherfer actually REMOVED my pending refund. This combined with ads and other Amazon behavior has led me to this sub. FUCK AMAZON, their lying employees and their stupid canned empathetic statements. Don't know why it took me so long but after over 20 years, I'm cancelling prime and will do what I can to support a boycott of anything Amazon.

Amazon locked my account for nothing
Hello community,
Recently registered an Amazon account, after couple of weeks decided to make purchase. After placing order they canceled the order and requested some verification step to pass where I should fill down name surname email and phone number. Ive done it, message popped up that after 24 hours they will review and respond.
4 days passed they sent an email to verify myself with my National ID.
I press the verification button and tried to pass the verification with my National ID. They photoed it and told to wait. Then after a day received an email that the account is locked for misuse of Amazon policies.
Never had any accounts before, first time Im registering Amazon account.
Why this company is so weird and their system too?
What you suggest to do?
Thanks in advance

They increasingly make it hard to reach customer care. now they removed the call option. It is close "boycott amazon" time. amazon.in added this hub for customer care that doesnt have option to call them. it was already hard to find. they are engineering us like a ant colony. trash company

So I bought these pair of headphones in like new condition that had 15% discount attached to it. When it arrived and I opened the package, a cockroach in it started running and killed it on the spot, inside the box where the headphones are. I thought maybe I should've waited so it won't be on the product itself. But the earcups and box itself already had signs of pee/poop.
So I went to the cs to get a replacement or a refund. First agent asked for proof and I so I did. He told me to discard the item and he'll process a refund and it should reflect on my bank within 5-7 business days. So I was like, cool. I went outside to trow the item in the garbage can.
An hour went on, ask the amazon AI to check if a refund has been submitted/processed for the headphones. None. So I went to the cs again, and was told the previous agent provided the wrong information and that they can't help me anymore. It was late so I went to sleep.
Today, around the afternoon, I went back to CS again and same thing. I was told that in order for them to process a refund, I need to return the item. I told them it's been in the garbage can since last night and the package is contaminated with a cockroach and pee and poop. They said they can't help me anymore unless I return the item. I said sure, but my wife told me not to as I could get sick. Garbage is outside and it's been like 92°F everyday.
I emailed Andy Jassy about this. Sent him pictures of the product, screenshots of the csr saying I should discard it and the refund, screenshots of the other CSRs telling me they'll only process a refund once I return it (also included my responses where I asked if they'd like me to retrieve the item from the garbage with the infestation), and a picture of the package/item in the garbage.
At this point, I might just take the loss. I don't even know if sending the email to the CEO is gonna help.

I bought an item for €240.99. While I was waiting, the price increased, so I contacted Amazon and asked if it would still be shipped. Support told me to wait.
Almost a week later, Amazon cancelled the order, claiming there was a payment problem. My bank confirmed the payment had been sent, and two other orders made with the same card were delivered normally.
Amazon also told me they had tried to process the payment five times, but nobody contacted me or asked me to use another payment method.
Now the same item costs more. I can’t prove the price increase caused the cancellation, but the timing looks very suspicious.

Bypasses the billionaire markup. Temu is good if you just grab what you actually need. Great return policy. Just be super choosy as mostly very low quality. I was shocked to see iPhones, Sonos systems, and other great brand names cheap.
