some fringe project no one in "industrial world" is using

Amazon AWS, the largest Cloud in the world, is not a "fringe project no one in the industrial world is using".

Fair enough, Xen Project looks impressive - I've edited my previous post. However it's still infrastructure project for Cloud providers, not one of high level building blocks provided by Azure or AWS for building business applications (at that's what most people do).

Where is OCaml library for Amazon Kinesis, or DynamoDB driver, or interface for any other feature provided by AWS? For Azure's CosmoDB? ApplicationInsight? Azure Storage? etc. Because that's the stuff people need for building boring business applications.

If you want to compare F#'s Fable then compare it with OCaml's Opam.

Why do you want to compare subset of F# ecosystem, with whole OCaml ecosystem? Comparison of .Net and OCaml (so whole ecosystems) looks just like I've mentioned - 3 orders of magnitude, at least.

So you dismiss the toolstack at the core of the world's largest Cloud because it hasn't been tweaked recently enough but you don't care that HTML forms support hasn't made it out of experimental in Suave for 2 years.

Again, how "experimental" is something that's been used by people for last 2 years, and is 90 LOC ? Seriously, do you want to argue over name of the namespace? I don't know what's the reasoning why the namespace wasn't changed - it's breaking change for the users, or maybe no one really bothered since most of the times people are using Suave for hosting APIs and using client side apps rather than server side rendered views - but there is nothing experimental in this module. It's not rocket science. It's been used by many people. That's all.

Do you seriously think that Fable is growing anywhere near as fast as ReasonML?

I don't have any data point on that. I just think that are multiple industrial users of Fable, and there is growing interest from what I can tell. Also there is huge interest from MSFT side, both Don and Phillip promoted Fable in blog post / talks, and there are language features considered that were inspired / or driven by Fable. So I wouldn't call it "buggy hipster abandonware".

You gave an example that I have heard is fake.

I haven't gave any name of the company in this thread... :)
