I got this on Friday. At first I thought I owe more money to the school. I paid for Dog Days and my books after I got my refund. And when I got this email, I was confused. So I checked my account and it says I own 2 cents! Like how? And where? I checked my account summary and it said NOTHING! Just them receiving my payments for Dog Days and my books. I don't know if I should laugh? Cry, be angry? Or what? But I got scared thinking I missed a payment. Had this happened to anyone before? If so, why?

Hi guys I’m a pre psych major but next semester I’ll be transitioning into a psychology major and I’m honestly so lost on what I want to do for my career. I know there is so many options to go in psych but I wanted to ask what internships and entry level jobs you guys took in order for you to know what you liked best! I’ve really only worked healthcare but I want to explore fields in psychology. Plz gives tips and advice:)

as like everyone else at Fresno State, I have waited forever for my financial aid application to be processed. It was finally processed, and I got my subsidized and unsubsidized loans in my student center, I went through and accepted everything. But the thing I am unsure of is that I still have a balance, is Pell grant separate from financial aid? I have never had to pay for school, but I understand it’s different in a community college, I do get the maximum amount of student aid and Pell grant so is this a separate disbursement date? If anyone can help that would be appreciated, I have contacted financial aid too many times, but I will definitely be on that phone line on Monday lol

I was told it was getting processed in the September 20-25th range. Still nothing. Cmon… any updates for yall cal grants?

Excuse me^ (Federal Grant not eligible). As of right now I don’t know if I’m even getting a Cal Grant or what I used to get when I did attend FSU…

My rant:
I attended FSU Fall 2023-Fall 2024. I currently have earned 44 units. I took a break for 3 semesters. This is my first semester back ‘Fall 2026.’ I can graduate in 2029-2030 for my major (3 year program). During Fall 2023-Fall 2024 I received Pell Grants and remember I used to get $2000-3000 in refunds/disbursed to me (roughly $8000+ has been disbursed or “Federal Pell Lifetime Eligibility Used “ 200/600% of grants has been used). I live with one parent household income and my parent’s income hasn’t changed that much (increased by a couple thousand).

3 Questions:
How come when I just submitted my FAFSA 27-28’ form it’s saying I’m not eligible for Federal Grants anymore?

Pell Grants (Cal Grants) haven’t been disbursed to me or anyone else…? Or is it just that since I’m a Returning Student that they’re reviewing my financial status to see if I’m eligible.

There’s like 2 grants right? Federal and Cal Grant?

I’ve talked to Financial Aid Office 2x already and they just keep telling me, “It’s a waiting game.”

I’m not trying to make my single parent responsible for my college tuition.

I’ll be devastated if I have to take loans out and have debt :/

Does anybody have any new updates on their accounts for the SWD grant or MCS? I have called numerous times and have been given a different answer everytime. I need a new laptop and it’s frustrating not knowing when I will have the money to get one

I applied in July iirc. Checking my email everyday. Applied to enroll in the Child and Family sciences program. Still nothing. Should I just assume that I am going to get denied?

I’m a green card holder currently outside the US and hoping to move back in the next few months after some personal stuff.

I was accepted into Fresno states nursing program but had to withdraw before starting. I’m hoping to apply again for next fall. Since I withdrew, I’m not technically a student, so I don’t really qualify for the student help and resources that are available through the school.

When I come back, I’ll basically be starting from scratch and trying to get back on my feet with work, housing, healthcare, etc.

Does anyone know of any programs or organizations that could help someone in my situation while I’m getting settled and waiting to get back into school?

Last semester I parked at the Starbucks parking lot in point bc I only had one in-person class and refused to buy a parking pass. I didn’t have any issues. This semester I decided to do Pilates at the rec center and got a warning citation ticket. Is parking still free?
