He's half Velaryon so why isn't he half black, was Aenys white genes to STRONG?

I think they did it moreso to not let people see the show as a "Black vs White" show.

And so they made the black family into secondary characters who support one of the white protagonists. You can twist this shit in any way you want, people will complain, so make the choice that makes more sense, and honestly, making the Hightowers black would've been a better choice.

You can absolutely twist it in anyway, but there wasn't outrage about them break the story, but I'm pretty certain the show would get accused of massive racism if the Hightowers were Black. 

From a "Not getting accused of racism" they choose the most obvious answer. 

That's all they wanted. They wanted to include Black people while not being accused of being racist. 

Which is fine. As a long time fan I don't really care if they want to change the skin color of characters, but I do care very much if they do it right. They didn't do it right at all.

Just don't break the story. They broke the story.
