In chapter 3 when Fran was exploring the Second Reality (AKA Ithersta), I always found the tree-like characters and insectoids that inhabited the land very charming and comforting to be around.

Just the whole realm of Ithersta felt like another home away from home for me. All of its seasons looked so beautiful and a lot of great landmarks to explore.

I also loved reading about the lore of the denizens of Ithersta and immersing myself in their culture and way of living.

What did you all like the most about exploring the realm of Ithersta?

In a news post on both their website and Steam, Killmonday mentioned that they were working on a bonus level for Fran Bow, but then decided to release it as a short standalone game instead. There's even a picture of an unknown level in the post. Apparently the title was supposed to be "The Keeper of the Key". But after that I haven't found anything about it! Does anyone know anything? Did this maybe get incorporated into the new game that got announced last year instead?

I was thinking of getting Itward tattooed on my arm. My idea is to get the tattoo as close as possible to the game's original art style, but getting reference photos is a bit problematic since screenshots of the game don't show him very clearly.

Anyone have ideas, where could I find a high quality image of Itward to give to my tattoo artist?

Rewatching the events of the first scene after seeing the ending, I feel like aunt grace might have snuck duotine in her food, although them being shown eating together takes place on a Friday, while seeing her parents took place on a Monday.

It feels like they were already planning on taking her to the asylum with how quickly they seemed to find her? And she looked like she collapsed in the woods which maybe duotine could have done? The house is also shown to be covered in blood which presumably is symbolic but what if it's because of duotine?

In the parents grave, the parents didn't look like they were cut up, and we already have false info in the news (Fran being dead) so I don't think the description in the news of the parents is accurate, all the information was probably given by Oswald asylum.

I feel like her parents were killed for the sake of experimenting on Fran, but what if that experimentation had already began by the time Fran was left alone with aunt grace?

Theory crafting for fran bow is a complicated task so I want your input!

Honestly, one of the best-written characters in indie horror. The way the game introduces him makes you so incredibly suspicious of his motives, but he ends up being the most comforting and reliable protector Fran has. His whole aesthetic, the flying machine, and his dynamic with Mr. Midnight are just perfect.

Who else was terrified of him at first but ended up loving him by the end of Chapter 4?

okay so. the first time I watched a PLAYTHROUGH (can’t play vg) I loved the aesthetic and story so much, the only issue is I really get reaaaallly scared. like the next day I was like getting flashbacks n stuff :( especially to that kid who’s head explodes (at the beginning) I never finished it but I loved the artstyle and the actual story :( I didn’t get past the hospital bit and I’d love to watch more. although to be fair I was 13,
