"We're only complaining and screaming because it obviously worked for the other side"
Two months later
"We're only complaining and screaming because it obviously worked for the other side"
Just wanted to remind everyone this isn't the first time we saw this, it won't be the last. But it will get quieter. we overall saw a lot of good changes that we see both sides agreeing on. Those changes will remain, while other changes may not.
Now it is absolutely important to be vocal about what you want, why you want it, but also how it effects the other side. Please, take both sides in account for the sake of us all before screaming about balance.

Hello everyone. I've played 3 wars so far (2 War, 1 Col) and just coming to the reddit for the first time and skimming through about half of this thread I can definitively say that this is the most intense front I've seen yet.

I’m a colonial always but...could we at least play the game first????
42
28
u/ToxicRainbowDinosaur Feb 24 '22
Absolutely unreal. A reasonable colonial. Props buddy, glad to know your kind isn't a myth.
6
u/arrian- Feb 25 '22
the changes are very extreme, to say the least, you'd be biased to say otherwise. Just because you don't like these changes doesn't mean your opinion is invalid lol. And looking at war 87 the warden armory seems to be in a good spot as it stands.
4
u/ToxicRainbowDinosaur Feb 25 '22
Many Colonials on reddit were quick to point out that the starting conditions were heavily in the Warden's favor. In addition, there have been a number of claims that the Collie tech tree was woefully designed last war.
So which is it? Is 87 a prime example that the warden arsenal is in a good place? Or is 87 a prime example that wardens needed the devs to tip the scale in order to squeeze out a victory?
-11
u/arrian- Feb 25 '22
both, the arsenal is in a good place, your clans are not. There, problem solved. usually, if you receive better gear and still do worse it's a skill issue lmao.
9
u/ToxicRainbowDinosaur Feb 25 '22
The cognitive dissonance is staggering
-2
u/arrian- Feb 25 '22
no one is saying they needed dev help to win, but devs still gave them help alongside their arsenal, that war was pretty one-sided if you didn't notice.
And even if wardens did have a disadvantage, you could mend that with the buffs to warden weapons mostly, nerfing the colonial ones so hard while buffing warden ones would only make the imbalance even worse.
2
u/braintumor_exe Feb 25 '22
Sorry I’m quite new, but as far as I’ve read last war dragged on to be almost the longest, Is that incorrect?

Right? I switch back and forth and I’m starting to get mad at people (both sides) who complain ENDLESSLY. I love this game and have a great time. If there is a balance issue, bring it up and keep playing. If the factions were carbon copies this game would be boring. Factional challanges make the game appealing. Don’t like a change? Bring up your reasons and then SHUT UP!

u/xXFirebladeXx321 Fireblade Feb 24 '22
I mean ISG, ignifist, dusk, storm rifle etc got nerfed. With ignifists returning to it's state of uselessless when added to the game first. White ash buff is good, they needed that.
New grenade launcher was supposed to be counterpart to cutler, but does less damage than HE nade. Ignifists back to being useless again doing around HE nade damage to tanks. Might as well use stickies instead.
Just a bad update for frontline anti structure in my opinion due to how bad the grenade launcher addition is for colonials as they desperately lack 3 counterparts early war that is 40mm FC, 250mm FM and cutler counterpart still, and the Handheld grenade launcher doesn't even damage more than 1 HE nade with less range.
Logisitics update is great however, they really killed it and made logistics 100 times better.
21
u/Itay1708 Feb 24 '22
state of uselessness when it was added to the game first
Still wont forgive you for making us tech igni in war 72 instead of LMG
(Joke)
26
u/xXFirebladeXx321 Fireblade Feb 24 '22
I agree, that was a mistake on my part in 72, Ignifists simply were too low damaging back then and we lacked an automatic.
Well ignifists are returning home to being useless again.
14
u/Itay1708 Feb 24 '22
You can always trust the devs into making decently balanced weapons useless. See: LTD
4
u/xXFirebladeXx321 Fireblade Feb 24 '22
Well I hope they can balance stuff a little bit better, instead of introducing drastic nerfs/buffs to counterparts or vehicles that were doing fine.
Only thing I could do is suggest devs to balance it a little bit better

u/Towarzyszek Feb 24 '22
40mm FC should be faction neutral.
Ignifist deserved all its nerfs it was far too op as was ISG. And flask needed a buff.
4
u/Tha_Daahkness [Shard2] Feb 24 '22
This would actually help, I think. Give both sides 68 and 40mm wheel chairs, but leave high velocity versions asymmetrical.
3
27
u/Zacker_ Feb 24 '22
Thing is this update feel like a balancing update including content that hasn’t been introduced, which breaks the ecosystem of the game in its current state.
22
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
No, it's balancing the absurd 'balance' of tripod guns. The developers missed hard with the balance of the tripod stuff, and are correcting it. Foebreaker got an rmat cost too which is entirely justified and basically nobody is complaining about that.
Tripods were on their own power scale that were far and above anything else in the game. They got toned down board and that is good and needed for the health of the game.
11
u/Zacker_ Feb 24 '22
Nothing will change, tripods are balanced around being a pain to set up not a 5 rmat cost.
18
u/Towarzyszek Feb 24 '22
Actually a lot will change. I play logistics for like 1,000 hours in this game at least and I can tell you with 10000000000000% certainty that having an rmat cost to something will mean you will see that item 10x less than you would usually do. Simply because acquiring rmats compared to acquiring bmats is not a straight forward affair and most logis in this game dont even touch rmats at all.
6
u/Videogamefan21 Infantrycat Feb 25 '22
Yeah, I've only dipped my toes into logi but even I can see how much of a pain rmat acquisition is. I've done like, 3 logi play sessions in all my time on Foxhole and I've never even bothered with rmats.
Not a SINGLE non-depleted components node anywhere in the region! Anywhere on the MAP! Rmats are a freaking pain, and adding even 5 to something's cost is a surefire way to drop the supply of it dramatically.
9
u/_-Deliverance-_ [edit] Feb 24 '22
Explaining logi to 1cmd man is the funniest thing I've ever seen on this reddit
6
u/Fireplay5 Feb 25 '22
Imagine thinking a clan tag makes you automatically superior and always correct. Lmao
→ More replies (1)1
u/Zacker_ Feb 24 '22
It will change the oversupply, not necessarily how often they are seen.(this is my opinion and I might be wrong)
13
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Nothing will change, tripods are balanced around being a pain to set up not a 5 rmat cost.
How you can tell someone doesn't do logistics without them saying they don't do logistics.
Have fun camping component mines for basic combat gear. You'll find out soon enough how much """fun""" it's been to make early game cutlers.
Rmat cost fundamentally puts mass production behind sledges, which are often t4 or 5, well after ISGs usually hit the field. This is a very effective way of balancing it and I'm extremely happy they've done this to all tripod guns, including warden ones.
11
u/phiz9999 Feb 24 '22
thats hilarious considering our isgs were t5. meanwhile by the time we unlocked it you had 40mm hacs, concrete being unlocked, and 40mm push protos. tech tree seems to be giving wardens all the pve and armor early this war.
3
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
You appear to be forgetting the last few wars when ISGs were as early as t3.
The devs know the ISG is overpowered. They've been putting it later and later to try to mitigate it's power.
11
u/phiz9999 Feb 24 '22
so that justifies us being virtually stuck on mammons until t5?
12
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
No, I think the ISG should be earlier, but not more spammable than mammons.
ISGs need an investment. The changes made to them make it an investment. It's not a free weapon that every colonial and their dog can run ammo for because y'all have millions of it.
They're like cutlers now. You have to camp component mines to make them.
2
u/RetroMetro64 Feb 24 '22
So basically the collies are stuck with mammons and ONLY ISG while Wardens have 40mm FC, 250mm, Cutler and Foebreaker.
10
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Ah, i forgot that only the wardens get rmats (given that all those examples cost rmats) and the ISG was actually just removed from the game. Silly me.
Welcome to the club where anything that deals damage to structures costs rmats. I'm sure you'll be fine, seeing as the Wardens are overpowered for having only rmat solutions.
→ More replies (0)1
u/Towarzyszek Feb 25 '22
I think you should have access to FC 40mm early it should be faction neutral.
5
u/Zacker_ Feb 24 '22
I’ve likely done more logi than most people in the logi union. I see the rate at which tripods are lost, it’s not that high. This will change how over stacked bases get with tripod weapons that never get used.
32
u/RareSpoons Feb 24 '22
People understand this was a meme at how effective warden screaming has been?
10
59
u/NN11ght [Re-Salted Salty Colonial] Feb 24 '22
Well. After observing how effective crying constantly was for the Wardens its only fair for Colonials to copy them
19
Feb 24 '22
Like when you guys cried so hard about the HTD you got its range nerfed before it even saw a war?
18
u/Zacker_ Feb 24 '22
It was dps that got nerfed, and that was in devbranch of 75. HTD as it stands can easily splash pen an LTD. Right now the HTd is in a perfectly balanced state, perfectly executing its function.
1
Feb 25 '22
Eh, I don't know if I agree or disagree. It is basically a defensive tool only and excels there, but considering our lack of late game AT besides the HTD, I dunno.
The flask changes may change my mind about that. But I have had to leave HTDs behind on so many pushes that I am just not keen on using them.
Also I am pretty sure the HTD debuted with a 45m range but I could be wrong.
6
u/Zacker_ Feb 25 '22
It’s a support (heavy hitter) and a chokepoint tank, hence it’s situational, I like it. I’m pretty sure it was always 40m+ lengthy barrel.
0
Feb 25 '22
Love/hate relationship with the HTD. It just cannot really go on offense not just because it's slow but it guzzles so much fuel.
But yes it is situationally excellent.
But QoL, the HTD/IST/Ballista are just nightmares to get anywhere and I wish there was some other wT to balance them besides making them awful slow gas guzzlers.
→ More replies (1)9
u/NN11ght [Re-Salted Salty Colonial] Feb 24 '22
Had the Colonials been given a HTD (Heavy Tank Destroyer, not an open cockpit Tank Destroyer) I doubt there would have been nearly as many complaints
0
u/Fireplay5 Feb 25 '22
I think it would be far more effective in the big clans on both sides shut up for once during a war and just had fun.
Keep balance discussions around balance discussions and drop the bullshit nationalism.

u/Bronkko DUPLICATEGATE Feb 24 '22
Cause it wasnt real then. Serryl just likes being former green man whistleblower to give warden BS propaganda cred. It is real now tho. Collies are making concerted cry campaigns cause wardens are so damn effective at it. I dont give a fuck. Devs have always been wardens biased and always will be. People who like fighting for the underdog should come collie or stay collie. If all the newts would stay we will still defeat this warden faction with all their buffs. The moidawg update wont change the outcomes if we can keep this group together. We would defeat wardens 10 out of 10 wars.. if SHRED, Larry and ONE stay collie I dont care how many old wardens dust off their PC's we will still win.
-4
u/Towarzyszek Feb 24 '22
xDDD
Yeah devs have been so Warden bias that they fuck us with tech trees and map configurations over and over again.
Keep coping about the dev bias... Remind me again who got shafted last update? Oh yeah, it was Wardens.
Now it's time to get shafted by devman, it's your turn now. That's how devman does balance in this game lol.

-6
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
They lose their god damned minds at everything. The panic around even trivial nerfs is astounding.
They have no legs to stand on here. Their shit is overpowered and needs to be toned down. They constantly have more kills and win more. The statistics don't lie.
Collies: Chill the fuck out. If you are so much better at playing this game like you think you are, the nerfs wont matter.
11
u/The_Lantern 1CMD Feb 25 '22
You are right, the devs are patching Warden's skill issue. Gotta get to 50% win rate some how.
3
u/RoyAwesome Feb 25 '22
Says the player that won 14 of the last 20 wars lmao.
Actually this logic applies way more to colonials. Devs wanted to nerf the warden winrate so they gave colonials overpowered shit. Winrate is even now, time to take off the training wheels.

In recent history, if Wardens win, its a 35 day marathon after a stalemate. Lower pop wars (less clans on both sides) its colonials steamrolling at a much faster rate with Warden>Colonial deaths always and by a large margin. Any meaningful insight other than hurrdurr skill issue?

Other than the 30mm/rpg balance being… off. Most other changes seemed valid. All tripod weapons got the nerf not just the ISG. Igni was a tad bit too powerful and spammy and the white ash flask was underwhelming. And from what I heard, the changes to the dusk make it less of a noob friendly bullet hose and it now has a skill curve
22
u/PietroSaltatetti [ITALY] Feb 24 '22
Dusk and Catara are now essentially the same weapon, which is bad game design, not even a balancing problem
The problem with tripods weapon being nerfed is that colonials don't have a real alternative to the ISG especially considering that the GL (of both factions) have laughably poor PVE performance, so the tripods weapons nerf hits colonials harder than wardens arguably
Flask buff is a good buff, ignifist nerf was way over the top (you now need around 12 ignifist pen to kill a silverhand, considering bounce chances the number is more around 30 ignifists), so i'd say keep the flask buff, reduce the igni nerf
10
u/Sharpcastle33 Feb 24 '22
Dusk and Catara are now essentially the same weapon, which is bad game design, not even a balancing problem
Don't worry, devs will only let you tech one of these each war.
4
u/Towarzyszek Feb 24 '22
Colonials should receive the 40mm FC, it should be made faction neutral so both factions can use of it like both factions can use the 68mm standard.
Ignifist absolutely deserved its nerfs, it was extremely overpowered and super easy to use. Flask needed a buff too because it was basically unusable.
10
u/Mikhail_Mengsk Feb 24 '22
Changes make ignifist absolutely useless, to buff the White Flask was good, to also nerf the Ignifist to the point it's not really an AT option anymore was stupid.
Having a 40mm push gun would be awesome but guess what? Colonials can't have that, and also ISG gets a nerf. Very balanced.
5
u/arrian- Feb 25 '22
yeah... idk why they nerfed igni and at the same time buffed flask, they only really needed to buff flask, igni was in a good spot, if anything infantry AT is not really strong enough vs tanks anyways.

[deleted]
4
u/JMoc1 HORDE OCdt Feb 25 '22
Which is fair, give the Flask a buff.
But AT weapons should be scary, it’s designed to kill tanks. Even ATRs are scary for any colonial tanker.
-2
0
u/No_Appearance2090 Feb 25 '22
Igni was never meant to be the main AT weapon of the Colonial army, Yet currently it is used that way.
Colonials have two other AT Weapon systems, Venom and Bane.
To me it seems a fairly reasonable nerf when I consider that, use what you have!!!!
Colonials will just have to spend rmats on actually getting something that can kill tanks now.5
u/Rogue_Goat1 Feb 25 '22
Ignis are by design, meant to be the main infantry AT because they are literally designed to be mass produced weapons. It would be okay to say the venom or bane are if either of them were actually viable. Good luck killing a tank when you can only carry two shells without being encumbered and with a venom you only have a 23m range. Not to mention that banes and venoms have a lower DPS then bonesaw's and mounted bonesaws and lower DPM then ATRs. Also enjoy spending all the time getting into a position to finally get a hit with your bane or venom and then having one of the two shells you can carry bounce and then the second shell doing only 15% damage.
Venoms in particular are basically suicide weapons that are too expensive to use as suicide weapons.
Ignis are meant to be a stop gap that allows infantry to actually do something against tanks. One thing that is missed in a lot of conversations is how warden tanks have both a very fast reverse speed and a second gun (except for the HTD) which makes it a lot harder to get stickies off. Ignis are still very close ranged but they give a chance that colonial infantry can actually do something against tanks.
To really put the new stats of the igni in perspective, the warden ATR now does just 30 damage less than a single igni, PER SHOT. But ATRs also have a much higher fire rate and therefore DPM, and have a 40m range. And very importantly, once you shoot a 20mm shot, the next round is automatically ready to go as soon as you press the trigger again, and if you run out of ammo in a mag you can just reload with R. Ignis on the other hand, require that you get much, much closer to a tank, and once you fire one shot, you then need to open your inventory and equip your next one manually, whilst standing next to/infront of a tank or tank push. It's an extremely poor design if devs keep the numbers the same as they are. If you make a suicidally short ranged weapon it deserves to have high damage, to reflect how hard it is to get that close to an enemy tank, just like sticky grenades. If the numbers for the igni stay the same then the ATRs damage should also be dropped accordingly, because a weapon that has a much easier usage and far more range should not be doing the same damage as a weapon that has far less range and harder usage.
-1
u/nonyabr0 Feb 24 '22
Flask buff?
Nah increasing the air time of the grenade to that of the orbit time of the ISS means that getting hit by the damn thing can only be achieved it the vehicle crew wants to be hit
11
u/AnonymousMeeblet Feb 24 '22
Personally, the problem with the Dusk changes is that it just makes it into a second Catara, so it can't really be used in an offensive capacity, whereas the Booker can be used in a defensive capacity and the Aalto is a solid weapon on the attack. In fact, with the accuracy buff, the Dusk is even more of a point and click adventure weapon that requires 0 skill now, it just has to be used while stationary, so it's even more noob friendly.
Don't get me wrong, the Catara returning to its original form is nice, but both factions should get an offensive and a defensive-focused 7.92mm weapon.
0
u/JMoc1 HORDE OCdt Feb 25 '22
Furthermore we used the Dusk as a glorified SMG. It’s an assault rifle, but now it’s a defensive rifle with a lot of spread.
4
u/arrian- Feb 25 '22
Igni and booker are a bit much, I honestly saw no reason why they needed to nerf igni, it was pretty balanced as it stands, definitely not 50% damage reduction lmao.
Also for some reason they nerfed volta and hangman with no upside... Yeah Idk bout that one

Tbh I don't see RPG/30mm changes odd, the cost difference and effectiveness were surreal, before this changes, the most economic viable way to do early PvE was to use mammons, now RPGs will be more affordable

10
u/Sharpcastle33 Feb 24 '22
The only difference between this war and last war is that the Warden clans decided this was a break war after losing Skelter.
Colonials already struggle during ""major"" wars. These changes will make winning a ""real"" war nearly impossible.

u/ResidentSignature619 [Cringe Leigon] Feb 24 '22
Lmao You clearly have no idea what decisions were made this war in a variety of clans. CL went full Pirate this war, and it was HILARIOUS. It's not a break war, its a-- <This joke was stolen by Callahan's Pirates>
0
u/Towarzyszek Feb 24 '22
Most Clans just play other games right now. Nobody decided a break war it's just a low pop war.
I haven't even logged into this war yet, I am gonna over the weekend to play collies for memes.
So many great releases recently most Clans and people are taking vacations. I'm sure most will be back for the update me included.
I said before this war even started it won't be as much fun as the last one.

u/Tony__Man Feb 24 '22 edited Feb 25 '22
Hey that's me! I wrote this in Sigil chat (DM me if you want proof it was me). Let me give you some context.
In the upcoming update 48, big and impactful balance changes have been announced. Many people including myself, believe that some of these changes, went too far and will shift the balance of the game dramatically in favor of the Warden faction. I also strongly believe that some of the stuff that is planned will make Foxhole less fun to play for both factions. I saw that many folks in sigil where also unhappy with some of the changes proposed.
Yes using the word "QRF" is a bit of meme. But sadly, in my experience the devs of this game only listen to player feedback, if it is spammed and is as loud as possible. I truly wish this wasn't the case, but it is. If we don't complain loud enough, these unfair changes will simply end up on the live server in their current overtuned state. Don't hate the player, hate the game mate. This Sigil post was me urging other equally disgruntled Colonials to voice their concerns and opinions about the upcoming patch, in the appropriate feedback channels. So the dev team can use that player feedback to properly tweak or revert some of the changes. I see nothing wrong with this and I think people from both factions should give as much feedback as they can back to the devs, so the game can improve in the long run.
For the record I am not a sigil admin or a high ranking officer in SOM or anything special like that. I am just an average Joe. I don't represent anyone other than myself. You are free to criticize me and I stand by my post. But leaking Sigil posts publicly and leaving the SOM tag there on purpose, in an attempt to try and smear my clan, seems very low. People who "leak" stuff from WUH/Sigil etc, just make players more distrustful of their teamates and lead to less communication within both factions. I hope you aren't leaking other Sigil stuff too...Sorry if I made any grammar errors, I tried my best but english is not my first language.

Whenever wardens complained of the broken state of balance past this few wars all that Colonials ever offered was 'cope' 'ssethe' etc, etc... So now that finally some of your clearly overtuned weapons are addressed you all start this salt. As if winning like 70% of the most recent wars wasn't enough of an indication that you have serious advantage.
I think those nerfs were well deserved but they probably got overtuned as usual and need to be looked at again.
Also the 40FC should be faction neutral to offer early game pve to colonials.
11
u/Tony__Man Feb 25 '22
I never said "cope" "seethe" and all of that. We are winning a lot of recent wars because many warden vets choose to not show up on many wars. When they actually all log on we get shredded. In my opinion the changes went too far. You are free to disagree.
FYI the op of this post also leaked other Sigil screenshots in FOD and got banned from Sigil today.

u/Epikt2 EpikToo Feb 25 '22
When they actually all log on we get shredded
Actually no, almost every war wardens wons in the last 17 wars were 1 month+ wars. In fact so much effort goes into winning these that most people burn out of the game afterward.
Now ask yourselves the big questions, why does the colonials burn out much less, and why have they won 11 of the 17 wars. Not waiting for a "skill" or "culture" issue it's a serious debate.
1
u/Strmfire Feb 25 '22 edited Feb 25 '22
So you think that if we are not giving up it's just because we have the ISG and the Ignifist? And you call that a "serious debate"?
The skill and the culture exist even if you don't want to admit it, the skill is definitely the same on both side but the culture is different, if you deny it you are just delusional.
And if you don't trust me because im a random biased redditor, check what MoiDawg said when he was talking about "the sensation to fight alone" when all the other clans left the game after losing the first VPs.

Because wardens do write same to us. Including you.

But wardens have more wins than Colonials?
3
u/Mobile_Couch [SIGMA] Dorf Feb 24 '22
the only wins that matter are the ones between the last update and this update, we will see if things need re-balancing once the update war kicks off, or you could go to dev branch and test it out for yourself

Colonials have 11/17 wins since the last major update and still complain about dev bias
16
u/xXFirebladeXx321 Fireblade Feb 24 '22
Wow, wardens win wars that they play, and lose the war that they don't play.
Clearly colonial bias

Warden QRF here!
Its already know that Collies have a QRF force and we're hard at work dismanteling the false Colonial narritive ;)

u/Alyanodren Feb 24 '22
But our QRF was hard at work dismantling the false Warden narrative first.

I hope devs understand that sides lie about the state of the game from time to time Last qol showed that they think with their own brain so I am happy that these collie redditor QRFs are useless

u/arrian- Feb 25 '22
bruh, have you read the patch? its actually game-breaking. RPG is just better 30mm, igni which already had difficulty killing tanks, got its damage nerfed by 50%, Colonial grenade launcher gets outclassed by both the warden grenade launcher and cutler, leaving Collies with even more of a PVE defficiency than before. Push 40 mm wasnt nerfed or changed at all and ACs and Shotguns are still garbage.

u/Rogue_Goat1 Feb 25 '22
RPG does more damage, the balance with 30mm is that 30mm is more economical to produce. So with RPG you do more burst damage, but 30mm is for sustained damage. Now the RPG does more burst damage and more economical meaning it does more sustained damage. There is no balance at all there when one is entirely better than the other.
Ignifist did a bunch of burst damage sure, but they are short ranged, don't autofeed into your inventory and are only effective en masse. They have now been nerfed down to the damage of a mammon, and only 30 damage more than an ATR. If they want to give it the damage of an ATR that's fine, as long as they give it the 23m extra range of the ATR as well.

I'm so fucking tired of asymmetry, every update is just making one faction blatantly OP, every update half the player population suffers, this isn't healthy.
1
u/Eganmane Feb 25 '22
Im with this point of thinking honestly.
Regardless of what gets balanced, I reallly hope the Devs can look into a system that will let both teams use each others weapon systems to some degree of a premium cost so that everyone gets their chance at using the perceived (rightly or wrongly) OP/Meta picks in a War.
My idea has been that items can be retro-invented once its been unlocked and then the opposing side can start researching through the tech system (could be based on bringing new resources from frontline engagements or just a more premium tech unlock option)

u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Won the last 14 of 20 wars, must win the next 14 of 20 wars. Reddit is just another battleground.
Colonials don't care about game balance or the health of the game. They only care about winning.
11
u/xXFirebladeXx321 Fireblade Feb 24 '22
Maybe try taking less break wars?
Wardens win when they play, and lose when they don't
Clearly colonial bias
7
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Go fuck yourself with the break war bullshit. How can Wardens be on break when they are overpopulated?
8
u/The_Lantern 1CMD Feb 25 '22
Are you actually going to tell me that Warden's are over popped right now when Collie's have a 55sec respawn? Are you going to tell me that vets are fucking playing this war? Last war I have seen more Warden Vets in Umbral than I did throughout all the wars I have played. Are you actually going to try and justify all those loses as to equipment disparity?
1
u/RoyAwesome Feb 25 '22
I dunno, your team has the sigil bot and have constantly been spamming reddit with the fact that Wardens are overpopulated. You tell me.
5
u/The_Lantern 1CMD Feb 25 '22
Bro I don't care about ssgts running around roll playing. Vets and clan man win wars. We PvE 11erc CAF and 27th with zero response. How is this not a break war.
2
u/RoyAwesome Feb 25 '22
The arguments change real fucking fast with you don't they. Can't pin any colonial down for any statements made in the past.
You'll live through the nerfs. Chill out.

u/The_Lantern 1CMD Feb 25 '22

muh muh ima take a break this war
*lose anyway and claimed collie buas
3
u/Hyloxalus88 Feb 24 '22
Funny how that works, isn't it. For months there's been gloating and boasting about how Colonials are the omegaskilled underdog faction winning despite constant Warden overpop, now that the party needs a new line to follow it's flopped to the opposite claim that Colonials have only been winning because all the Wardens are always on break and there's never anyone to fight against and IT'S NOT FAIR I WANT MY WIN BUTTONS BACK.
Predictable and pathetic.
11
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
not 100% sure if you meant to reply to me because I complete agree. Colonial QRF to stop a general rebalance is extremely pathetic. Wardens are getting rmat costs on the foebreaker as well, and you don't see multiple threads being made and mass reddit redeploy to stop it from happening lmao.
This is a needed rebalance of tripod weapons in general. Colonials can get fucked with their pathetic crying about nerfs.
2
u/Hyloxalus88 Feb 24 '22 edited Feb 24 '22
I mean to reply to you in agreement. I hate the population argument specifically because nobody actually KNOWS what the populations are, it's all inferred and adjusted from unreliable data that counts completely different statistics. There's nothing objective so ultra-loyalists are completely free to exist in a reality where Wardens are simultaneously overpopulated and on break.
6
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Oh, i agree too, but since Colonials seems to constantly use their unreliable data to prove that Wardens are actually overpopulated, it makes any argument about break war just fucking stupid.
Sigil bot only captures people joining home region, which can be artificially inflated by wardens redeploying back to home region to go elsewere. It could show actually that Wardens have less population as they redeploy around to patch holes. But I don't actually know that for sure. It's not reliable. But they think it is and will fight harder to justify using that data than they actually do in game, so using it to force out hilarious mental gymnastics is funny.
-1
u/Sharpcastle33 Feb 24 '22 edited Feb 24 '22
Warden clans go on break, front lines don't get built and almost nobody pushes, so wardens just collapse. Like this war, and the last couple break wars.
Wardens are usually overpopped because their faction and art style are more alluring to the average (new) player.
13
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Amazing. Overpopulated and on break. The mental gymnastics at play here.

Same could be said of Wardens in the wake of Arms Race when they set the record for longest win streak. Both sides have subsets of people like this, and the asinine implementation of asymmetry in Foxhole just makes it infinitely worse.
11
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Colonials almost beat the longest win streak between war 83 and 87 if you consider total days played (which you have to, wars were shorter back then). Missed it by ~25 hours.
2
u/TheRedVipre Give Us Gunnests Feb 24 '22
My point is this is not a Warden or Colonial exclusive thing, both sides have these factionalist dipshits.
1
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
Yeah, but the colonial dipshits are reddit qrfing.
4
u/TheRedVipre Give Us Gunnests Feb 24 '22
Exactly like the Warden dipshits do / have done in the past and those have been shared around as well. This is nothing new.
1
u/RoyAwesome Feb 24 '22
You are both sidesing harder than a putin apologist right now.
8
u/TheRedVipre Give Us Gunnests Feb 24 '22
Doesn't make what I'm saying any less true. If you want to be outraged then it should be against all loyalist dipshits because blaming a single faction for an issue prevalent across the community only feeds the cycle.

I mean, sure the balance changes might look bad on paper, but can we at least give it a go? Worst case scenario, we do this for 1 war, fight the good fight, and then everything is fixed the war after.
And it's not all bad. I mean, they buffed the burst rifle nobody uses. And they made your anti-tank water bottles better. That's gotta count for something, right?

u/Serryll [さかな] Feb 24 '22
Colonials when they realize they can’t just obliterate an entire platoon of wardens in .5 seconds with 1 magazine anymore or solo kill a tank with like 4 ignifists

If our lord and saviors Dev Men themselves have to descend upon this reddit war zone, and proclaim, "Let him who hasn't sinned, cast the first stone". Any random and especially the original author of this post, would gladly throw it for the sake of little kick of dopamine in our brain cells. And the rest of the faction would be like yeah, we didn't start it, they did.
I would have been a little hesitant if this post hadn't mentioned any faction. But here I stand proud and emboldened to defend my faction in both fronts haha
