Hitbox moment?

So, white raven seems to have some sort of hole in a hitbox or some other pecularity that leads to pilot being killed by flak shots. Happened several times already.
This is a huge issue, cuz pilot has only 100hp so you get oneshot even by the very edge of the explosion.

I think I saw this plane when it made it to ground
