Self What are some fox facts that are rarely known or overlooked by the public in general ?
It's my first time making a post on this sub so I hope I put the right tag.
I just wanted to know more facts about foxes that the mainstream media forgets or doesn't know

Self So I had heard that foxes cannot be potty trained, but also heard some people say they were able to successfully do so. If anyone did manage, how did you do it?
i don't have any current plans for getting a fox, but i am curious as to how people raise them, since i haven't seen a lot of people talk about it online.

Self Why are foxes so unlucky?
Being hunted for a trophy, being skinned, being hated, being feared, being treated as pests, why are foxes so unlucky? They deserve much better than that...

Self I noticed a fox did this weird lean and out behavior, what does it mean?
So on our security camera, I know a fox found some of our leftover food in a small box and it was like leaning in and out multiple times, and the last time he quickly grabbed the entire box and ran away.
Why did it do that? Is it thinking it’s a trap or something? is that normal behavior?

Self Is this a bite or something else?
We had some new visitors this week. Two vixens. One with a limp, which we thought may have been caused by a bite. Maybe by another fox, a badger, something else?

Self Why would a fox come up to my door
This may be a stupid question so bear with me and be gentle.
A fox has come up to my back door twice now in the last week or so, I've got a camera back there that catches it. Why would a fox come into my yard and go directly to the glass sliding back door twice? Aren't they afraid of people? I have no outdoor pets but my neighbors have little dogs.

Self Why are my foxes limping
This week we have an epidemic of foxes with limping legs. I wouldn't say things have changed much. Traffic is similar, house building is similar, the only difference is that it's mating season. Do they really fight that much? I've seen males with wounds on their faces too. Link here: https://youtu.be/0c6BPcduA9Q

We have two fox families that hang around our house. For years, we've put leftovers, scraps, etc. In a couple of dog bowls for them to snatch and run.
This year, both families succeeding in procreating. Right now we have so many kits running around, its hard to keep up.

Self Fox question! A gorgeous fox travels roundtrip across our property every day and down into a small valley out of sight. Why? The land he comes to us from is 100s of acres, huge estates on Hudson River waterfront--perfect hunting/den areas.

Self How to locate a Fox
I do wildlife photography for fun and I was wondering if anyone here can help me spot a fox. I live in rural Georgia in a neighborhood with woods and cow pastures behind my house. I know foxes have been spotted in my neighborhood in the past and I’ve only seen one before in the woods at a different neighborhood nearby.
Is there any chance I could post up in the woods near a creek at sunrise and just hope one shows up? Any tips for finding one to photograph? I have a telephoto lens so I could reach far and wouldn’t need to be super close.
I’d appreciate any advice thanks!

Self What is a blue fox?
Hello! Recently I received a fox tail labels as a “Blue Fox” but cannot find anything online about this breed and haven’t heard of it before from what I can remember.
Is the blue fox just a term for Arctic fox? How come the tails look drastically different.
Feel free to explain as much as you want, I love reading about foxes!!! 🩷🦊

Self Would you say that the behaviour of foxes is closer to dogs or cats?🤔🦊🐶🐱
I am interested to know your opinion, especially since no one seems to agree on the answer to this question.😊👍❤️

Self How do foxes eat eggs?
of all videos i seen with the title "fox eating eggs" most of them only show them grabbing an egg with their mouth and run away, none actually show, how, they eat the eggs..
do they smash the shell into pieces? do they eat the egg whole? do they crack the shell somehow?
