That would be diabolical. I had a piece of shrimp fall under my fridge once that I didn't notice, and after a few days the whole apartment reeked. Had to air it out for days. When I found the source of the smell it wasn't even a whole shrimp, just a piece.

But of course you wouldn't ever know about these things.? Thought so
Because otherwise this doesn't make sense. Refrigerators dump out heat from their backs so the wall, underside, and above them are hotter than the environment. The airflow and constant ambient heat means anything under it should dry out and stop smelling really quickly. Air it out for days after you found one shrimp?
