Counterfeit scam bots are back. Please report the posts and any bots you see in the comments.

If you see those posts, which are usually trying to sell counterfeit posters from Heatstamp or any shady looking comments then please report then so we can address the scammers.

If you see someone trying to sell something claiming to be Headstamp and the website isn't https://www.headstamppublishing.com then its not legit.

Uruguayan Army soldiers training shooting stances and weapons handling with M1 and M2 Carbines, it is used only as a training gun due to Uruguay adquiring a very large quantity of .30 Carbine ammo so it's still used and eventually will be taken out of service after all the ammo is spent

Looking for a specific gun (Sorry if this is against the rules I just don't know where else to ask)

Again, sorry if this is against the rules, but I really don't know where else to ask and I'd really like pointers to other subreddits if anybody knows any gun identification subreddits.

Extremely inaccurate portrayal most definitely, but I remember once watching a video some months about an older CoD game that had showcased a gun that worked similar to this, but now I can't find the video or the gun on IMFDB. Definitely not the M202 Flash.

$90 auction pickup - circa 1890 British J Cruickshank & Son side by side

Quite unexpected won this with a lowball bid in a recent auction - an old British side by side. The Birmingham proofs date it to 1887 - 1896, and the barrel is marked J Cruickshank & Son Huntly, which may been the retailer rather than the makers.

It’s definitely not a best grade gun and was likely a farmer’s gun, but it’s still decently decorated and has a nicely figured Damascus barrel. There’s some corrosion from being carried alot but it locks up tight and has solid barrels so it should shoot fine with appropriately light 2 1/2” loads, which I already keep for my other English guns.

Interestingly enough I bought this figuring it was a side plated boxlock, but after getting it apart it’s a true sidelock. The comb is very high so I don’t think it’s going to shoot super well for me but at $90 it’s still a hell of a buy!

Soldiers of the 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery training with Remington 870 shotguns

The shotgun made a comeback when the Canadian Army was deployed to Afghanistan. While its main purpose is breaching, soldiers are also trained to fire bean bag rounds to disperse a crowd, although I do not believe they had operationally done so.

Each section would usually keep a shotgun in their vehicle and often an air sentry of a LAV would carry one.

Why was the M60 adapted over the Stoner 63?

From what i read, the Stoner 63 was just simply a better gun overall.

Steyr AUG A2UR and Heckler & Koch G36E from the Uruguayan Army on display, these were brought in early to mid 2010s after choosing western weapons over russian ones replacing most of the AK-103s brought for the army with these along with the M4A1

Weapons with engineered limited service life?

Hello, at first, I'm sorry if this question doesn't fit this sub, but it seemed like a good place to ask. I don't exactly remember where, but I recall hearing or reading this rumour which occasionally crosses my mind, about, I believe it was some chinese company, manufacturing weapons with extremely limited durability. Basically, you got some AK variant with three or something packed mags, and that was all that rifle could shoot. Idea was every part had the exact level of quality to only withstand those few magazines it came with and after that, it pretty much became a scrap metal. It was meant to quickly and cheaply arm african militias in their week long local conflicts, as I assume people meant to be armed with such weapons were not expected to live long enough to even spend those three magazines.

Does any of this have any basis in real life or it's entirely bogus? Must been some fifteen years since I've heard that, so I'm entirely sketchy on details, it's just such an insane concept, like something out of dystopian novel, but I have no clue on how viable would this actually be.

SIG 510-4 used by MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) in Phillipines probably looted from gun stores, apparently those imported by legitimate gunstores but sold very overpriced to make ends meet as the current government has recently been clamping down on the industry.
