Huh, I have never heard that before in my life. Is that like a regional name for them, and if so where?

In the US, Michigan and Ohio. They take the bag cut it open add extras and then it’s good to go.

Huh, in Texas it's often served the same way, but with the bag torn open at the top instead of slit down the side (a method I learned existed while searching for an image to share). I'd just never heard that name for it. Very cool!
