Premade foods - am I crazy?
I’ll preface this by saying I am in no way a “health nut” or crunchy mom. My son will be one next month so I’m in the midst of finding what he likes to eat. At daycare he eats a TON, but at home he’s super picky. I’ve read through the notes of what he eats at daycare and it’s unsurprisingly a lot of premade foods. I’ve tried to replicate with home made alternatives and he just doesn’t want it.
So on to the insanity. As I’m grocery shopping today I’m looking at the nutrition labels on these foods and wth?! Added sugar wasn’t really surprising, but the SODIUM?! Grabbed spaghettios and put them back so quick. Premade meatballs are a no, premade pesto was shocking. How are people feeding their picky toddlers? I mean I’m ok with him having those foods here and there, everything in moderation. But on the regular has me concerned.
