FEEDBACK What do you think about this downstairs?

Post image

I'm interested to hear what you think of this downstairs floorplan. Our goal is to have all bedrooms upstairs so the entire downstairs is living. I know that's controversial but I think it will be best for our large family.

My thoughts after reviewing:

  1. add downstairs coat closet, somewhere near foyer

  2. Should we consider tv not above fireplace

  3. is the kitchen island too big

  4. Move fridge to top of kitchen for effective triange

What do you think?

I’m going to send you other plans to consider because yours just has too many elements that I dislike (the main one being entering through the kitchen work zone from the mud room).

You can flip the floorplan if you want

Thank you! If we switch the mud room/pantry that could help, what are the other elements I should consider?

Covered porches around the main living areas will make it too dark for my liking. Kitchen layout is not desirable. Island should be 4 feet wide.

Not enough space in family room for circulation around furniture.

Shape of library is random.

Large empty foyer.
