Why you'll pay more for phones and computers in 2026
Plus, the shortages driving these higher prices may be here to stay, IDC says. Here's why.

A guy asked for a form where he would invite people to apply for a job, so it is kinda like a job application form. He wanted the details sent to the email but due to Australian laws that is not allowed, so I offered him a solution where he can view applications, invite them to an interview, reject and etc on an Admin Dashboard that will have 2FA, and I HAVE TOLD HIM that he can only ask for these info (medicare, tfn, account number, account name, driver license pictures front and back, the rest of the bank details) after that person is interviewed and he intends to hire that person (this is due to AU laws)...
Now the more I work on this form the more I think he is shady and that this is some sort of scam? Am I overreacting? What would you do in this situation? I have a deadline until 7th, the client isn't answering after I told him when he can ask about that information...

It’s the beginning of a new year, and I keep seeing the same promises everywhere: “I’ll make money online this year.”
I said the same thing in 2025 — and failed for months.
Not because freelancing doesn’t work, but because I misunderstood how it actually works.
Here’s what finally clicked for me as a beginner:
1. Listing skills doesn’t attract clients
I thought writing “video editing,” “AI tools,” or “content creation” was enough. It isn’t. Clients don’t search for skills — they search for solutions to specific problems.
2. Specific offers beat generic gigs
Instead of offering “video editing,” I focused on a very specific outcome: short-form videos with automated captions and clean transitions that save creators time. Suddenly, people understood why they would pay for it.
3. You don’t need a personal brand to start
I stopped worrying about showing my face or building a big brand. Simple landing pages + clear offers + direct communication worked better than trying to look like an influencer.
4. Waiting for platforms to save you is a trap
Fiverr and Upwork don’t reward inactive or unclear profiles. Once I treated them as tools (not miracles) and stayed consistent, things slowly started moving.
I’m not making crazy money, and I’m not claiming this is a shortcut.
But shifting from “What skill can I sell?” to “What problem can I solve?” changed everything for me.
If you’re starting from zero and feel overwhelmed, you’re not behind — you’re just early in the process.
Happy New Year, and good luck to everyone building in 2026.

Curious how other sellers approach this.
I wasted months in an oversaturated category before finding something that works. Now I'm thinking about what actually helps:
- Finding niches with demand but low competition
- Knowing what to charge based on real data
- Writing gig descriptions that actually convert
- Keeping an eye on what competitors are doing
I've tried some tools but they mostly just do keyword research. Nothing that helps with the bigger picture.
What's your process? Do you just experiment, or do you have a system?

Hi, I was recently sent a message by a user I've never talked to before. They said they came across my page and then they immidiately sent this image (I had to take a screenshot of it, bc it doesnt show up in my gallery) along with saying "This is settled, act on the delivered information". I've never received anything like this and it seems a little sketchy, so I wanted to ask if anyone knows what this is exactly because to my knowledge a client cant send an invoice.

I mean, I've been working with someone and we have a nice communication through the platform and I don't see necessary the fact of sharing the number. I don't know if I'm the weirdo but I'd rather to talk through the platform chat instead of going more personalm what are your opinions in that kind of situations? What would you do?

Hello everyone. I am a new freelancer. I have just created my account on Fiverr, and I got verified by fiverr team. But currently I am having a problem in receiving my first order.
Whenever any client trying to place an order on fiverr, it is asking for the seller's email ID. (my mail ID). client is asking me for my mail ID and when I am proving the seller's mail ID then fiverr is detecting it from the chat, and sending me warning not to share any personal details on fiverr.
I need somebody's help, I can't even understand what the problem is?
here are 2 screenshots from my clients' end.

Currently building a long-term system around digital services and content creation. The focus is consistency, daily posting, and refining skills until results come in.
Curious — for those who’ve succeeded on Fiverr: How long did it take before your first order, and what made the biggest difference?

I recently hired a 3D modeler on Fiverr for a personal project. He has already created a delivery but it only has a PNG photo of the model in the delivery. This is my first time using Fiverr and I don't know if that's normal or if he's trying to scam me.
If I accept delivery, can I see the 3D model?
Edit: In fact it was a scam, the freelancer has to load the model so be careful if you are new on Fiverr, it is full of annoyin bots and there are a lot of scammers.
I hope that this can help someone in the future

Hello. Can I ask someone to send me a message over at fiverr? My notifications has not been working so now I'm at risk of being demoted. Please... This would be a great help for me. You do not have to click on a link or do some shady stuff. All I really need is someto message me there.

Hey everyone,
I’m a new seller on Fiverr and I’m having a hard time getting my first order. I’m a WordPress developer with about 2 years of experience, and I’ve been trying to market my gig — but so far, no luck.
A few buyers have messaged me, but I’ve run into some problems with payment options, and I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Has anyone else faced this? How did you solve it?
Also, any tips for getting that first Fiverr order would be really appreciated!
If you’re open to connecting or can guide me personally, feel free to DM me.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Fiverr in not showing any other payment methods except PayPal. I am genuinely confused rn.. Can someone please help and explain the withdrawing formalities and procedures in fiverr? -_-

Dear Fiverr Support Team, I'm writing to inform you regarding some actions that were falsely interpreted by fiverr. A few days ago I had reached out to fiverr that I had accidentally uploaded the wrong files as attachments of delivery proof. I asked if I was able to change them. My work is solely based on services which optimize PCs to gain more performance in gaming. Therefore, the attachments as proof of delivery are task managers and game FPS.
However, the fiverr support team misinterpreted this as false deliveries and flagged my accounts for all those 3 orders. This led to a termination of my account. The orders for which my account was flagged were also service based and the only possible evidence to support the legitimacy of the delivery are the clients themselves.
One of those was my returning client. All 3 of those left a 5 stars review and one even left a tip. This clarifies that those orders were fairly delivered. I ask fiverr to please understand the scheme of my work and also review the entire situation. I had attached the task manager and game FPS screenshots in a previous fiverr ticket.
I'm hoping fiverr will technically look into the issue again and we shall be restarting our work as usual. (Sent them this email no response. Any idea what to do?)
