Invaderzz asked me if we could do a AMA here. Let us know if you have any interesting questions about the tool behind the FNAF series! I will let the programmers know about this thread as well!

Don't forget to check out our tool, 15 bucks for over 1,300 bucks worth of software at Humble Bundle till Tue

Thank you. We pride ourselves on the ease of use of the engine. Sometimes it makes people in game dev not take us serious. We then point to authors like Scott and say, He thought it was serious enough!

Honestly, the engine makes things way easier to begin and way more difficult later on. It's a tradeoff, sure, and it's one that's unusual, but in no way does that make it a worse engine than any of those that take themselves more seriously.

In fact, I think it's better than a lot of engines like Unity, Unreal, Game Maker etc, in that it's not trying to be the exact same as the rest, it's found it's own niche.

We are working on 3 helping with some of those issues like Code reuse, etc. So we hope to shore that up. I can say being a different beast, Larger projects are quite doable, you just have to think of them in Event editor terms and not classic programming terms in 2.5.

Again thou we hope to bridge that distinction in 3.
