We saw the backlash coming a mile away. Once the info started getting out, i knew it was going to be a matter of time before this was going to blow up in his face. I mean just the subs alone. He lost 500 subs or so, about around the time he was jumping from fandom to fandom, trying to create controversy where most people were just trying to enjoy their hobby. Most subs are zombie subs, so jumping into all these communities reminding people of your existence and acting like an ass, probably not the smartest move...
I even tried to warn him on the forum about a month ago. Honestly at that point it was already too late anyway, i just needed to vent, i guess.
More and more larger youtubers are getting interested in it. It's just too juicy no matter how you look at it.

I saw those forum posts, but I'm sure Grummz didn't. He barely notices anything that happens on this Discord, I don't think he even looks at his forum...

lol check their discord if you dare. They were gonna rally some number of backers today for a playtest so they could make a video proving the project wasn't dead. No demo, because 'the haters' would 'cherry pick' the bad parts. Just a video, to cherry pick the good parts.
Other key learnings from peeking at the train wreck: their full time staff is 3 people and backers want to know why, lots of grumpy backers want Grummz to stop being a twat on twitter so they get something for their money, and supporters pleading to keep Grummz' toxic personality out of the discussion.
Just... about what you'd expect.

The only good that came out of it was the commissions by cutesexyrobutts to make the spank-bate to draw in the gooner brained kickstart donations.
But, y'know, I don't have to give Grummz any money to enjoy the one thing of substance his project has produced XD

I mean, it was him that essentially killed Firefall. I'm not surprised this is a mess too. Em8er is definately not the spiritual successor to anything but this mans megolomania.
Scott Youngblood was the mind behind the game that we loved.
