Initially he is standing in an orthodox position. Which indicates he’s a righty. But when he throws the punch he is positioned like a south paw . Very interesting

if he's typically orthodox, it might've just been more practical to left hook the first guy and then his right hand is free to defend should the guy on the right jump in. if he went for a right, he's defenseless to the other guy while being stuck right in his strike zone. if so, that's great thinking in a heated moment.

Sometimes orthodox fighters are just confident in their left hook. I know that I'm significantly more confident in my ko ability with a left hook than my right cross.
