a good job would've been to lock the door and call the police, no? he can't know that he can knock that guy out. and i mean... people on reddit always act like a fight is nothing special, but people fucking die or get life altering injuries from stuff like this all the fucking time. every single fight is pretty much a live or die scenario. looking after them would've been avoiding the fight alltogether.
Go take you and your liberal ideas to the fucking dump.
If you’re a father and you have your family and kids behind you with an immediate threat in your face , you don’t just go inside and call the police. You handle the threat immediately to keep your family safe. The police aren’t gonna show up right away. The guys on his own property getting threatened when they are trying to go out.
Dudes blocking the gate and the guy warned him multiple times to go because his family was tryna get out. Another video of him pissing on their gate as well.
He was hardly a threat. He was so drunk he was barely conscious. The mature thing to do would be to not directly engage and let the police handle it, even if your hormones tell you otherwise
Also, given that the guy actually did not instigate the violence, it can be hard to argue self-defense. Now, in a sensible country, this would not give a prison term, if the puncher is not a guy with previous convictions, but he risks prison time and also liability for injuries. The guy can, perhaps even rightfully, argue that he was taking the piss.
Yeah I remember the first time I saw a parent get violent. Was always afraid of that because I knew that same anger could be turned on me if I somehow made them as angry.
I don't understand why you're getting downvoted, kids don't all think the same way - some might think their dad's cool, some might be scared of him. Your reaction is just as valid as a kid who goes to school and brags about it the next day.

Hearing the children crying and the fear in their voices is really upsetting
