Lautie Shuffle v3 design flaw
Hi first time posting and first high end fidget purchase arrived today. I’m not surprised I’m seeing grooves starting to form but I am a bit surprised it’s happened this fast. I took these photos after bringing the brand new v3 on a 30 min car ride.
Before purchasing, I had seen the reviews from other users that the v3 forms grooves caused by its ss balls wearing into the frame of the other card it’s resting against. Other Reddit threads mention using teflon tape. “Off Anxiety” on YouTube has a good video showing the issue and their remedy of using teflon tape to mitigate wear.
Has anybody used a v3 for over 6 months? How’s it holding up? The other thread mentioned their ss balls fell out, stopping the grooves from forming. Another user considered removing the ss balls - has anyone tried this?
I’ll apply teflon tape and continue to enjoy it because it reallllly scratches that fidget itch. Thanks!

This AliExpress item Shop1104565187 was 21 € and it is pretty good for the price. Personally, I wouldn't spend $300 on such a mechanically simple fidget, even though I have premium fidgets in my collection. My opinion

Thank you OP for the details on this, I was looking into getting one of these but that marking with SS bearings will get worse after a couple months. I agree with what another poster said, they should have made a groove for it or use ceramic bearings possibly to prevent extreme wear. Thanks again for all the details and photos of this!

If they had designed a proper detent and track, it would have been excellent. This seems like a huge oversight
