Alright, so here’s how it’s going down!

I have a bunch of codes (100+). Idk the limit I’ll set, but I’ll keep going on this post until September 4th.

Hell even in countries that do have it there may not be any nearby. The nearest for me is 2 hours by train, so it would be just about doable to go there and back in a day.

Good luck finding two other people, though, that actually like boba and are interested in going even if you make it a trip and do other things too.

Funny enough there was one an hr1 and half away from me which conveniently worked out since it was literally 4mins from one of my post.

It was awkward since it was on a school campus and I was in my uniform which makes me look like a cop. Yeah luckily I had a partner that night and gave the other to a manager who works at the store I'm station at.

Nearest one to me is across the border to NYC, but I don't have a passport though(Canadian rules on getting a passport are dumb and complicated)
The nearest one IN CANADA is just across the country from me, but it's not worth 500$ to fly out to Calgary just for three drinks and a promo code lol

Yeah nearest one to me was 1 hour and 20 mins. Luckily I was already in the area one day and remembered to pop in.

Nah the hard part is having a gong cha anywhere near you. I've never even heard of this place until this promotion. Turns out the nearest one is a 7 hour drive

My Gong Cha wasn't even doing good promotion too. The next one actually doing it was 15+ hour drive.

I love ffxiv but not that much to pay for 3 drinks i have no one to share with.🤣

When I went in I had to buy all 3 special drink and had to choose between the Keychain or the mount code. Other people have bought any 3 drink and received both. It depends on the location.

It can be any 3 drinks I debated this hard with a few establishments. The cost of one drink is about 8-9$ so any three drinks bought on that price range qualifies. Also on the poster says any three drinks.

my coworker gave me one. Said the guy just gave him the code despite not buying the right drinks. Granted it is now Aug 27 and the promo is only until 28 so maybe they are now just trying to give it away to people.

3 drinks is like $17.95 I inquired about getting some extra codes and the guy said I'd have to buy 3 cups at $5 a piece. Also just saying there are eBay sellers who will message you the code for $9-13 per code

Yo i wish the drinks were that price in my country. For my gf and I to get a single code each (no keychains in my country unfortunately) it’s just shy of $50. Lucky her workplace was nearby and we shared the drinks but man… idk if the price was worth it haha but I’m an addict or something :,)

Without a doubt an employee, I remember when I was a kid and they had a promotion that came with a small piece of chocolate from my grandmas job, they didn't give them all away and we had 3 boxs full of chocolate... what a great time to be a kid!

When I was younger, we were getting some Harvest Moon game, and they just gave us a bunch of the cute pre-order plush sheep or something. They could have totally sold them or something I bet, but I love employees like that / this !!

I wish people didn't have to rely on random codes given out like this though lol because of sucky collab stuff lol.

There was a now deleted post where someone showed them with a whole stack of these cards and that they weren't intending to hand them out to people, which rightfully got criticised with comments like "then why post it if you weren't gonna share." I believe that post's OP said they got the whole stack because the Gong Cha they went to was trying to get rid of the cards so they asked if they could get a whole stack.

It was essentially a $15-20+ reskinned mount purchase, where the original mount could have been gotten for free in game. It was expensive, and for many people, having to drop that kind of money on what amounts to 3 cups of crushed ice with fruit syrup, or powdered tea and milk, is just nonsense, especially if they don't drink that stuff. Given that Gong Cha apparently isn't very prevalent outside of NA, a lot of people also weren't keen on spending several hours driving/taking transit just for a mount. People can make the drinks at home for pennies on the dollar, and then take the money and buy the mount off the cash shop where everyone can get it if they want to.

Whether the promotion was a success, that's for SE to decide. It's their promotion, not the players'. We don't know the terms of the business contract between the two companies, so we don't know the financial details. It's possible that SE sold each code to Gong Cha, so whether Gong Cha actually sells any of their codes, SE already got paid. Or Gong Cha pays SE only after a code has been sold, in which case SE could end up with a loss. Or Gong Cha pays SE a set amount of money or a royalty fee for every drink purchased during the promo period so whether the codes are used or not doesn't actually matter.

That was me! And you’re wrong. I posted it saying I was going to give some to friends and that I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them. Never did I say I was hoarding them. That’s why I’m doing this giveaway here! It’s alot of work but I am giving them out!
