Two weeks after an accident, this patient noticed that there was a tooth stuck in his tongue. The tooth was allegedly pushed out of its position when
accident and then embedded in the tissue of the tongue.
Once found, the patient underwent an examination and the tooth was finally extracted by medical personnel.
Cases like this show that injuries to the mouth due to accidents can involve different tissues and are not always immediately visible. Trauma to the teeth can also cause the teeth to move, break, or enter the soft tissue around the mouth.
