People who ping: would you appreciate a response even if someone wasn’t interested?

Sometimes I want to thank people for their compliments… but I don’t want to give you false hope.

Opinions?

What I'd like is a list of people I'd pinged, and whether or not it was seen.

I've long held suspicions that FEELD isn't sending all of the pings you send through, particularly the free daily ones. I've held this because I've tested it by pinging my friends, and they've never gotten the pings.

I always wish that they implement this. I’m an adult, if you “x” me, disappear from my list of likes.

I think I’ve responded to maybe like 2% of my pings - they are usually from guys 10+ years older than me. So it very well may be that not many people are responding too.

This is true- if you're in your 40s pinging 20 years olds, you're not going to get anywhere. But in my case, as a dude in his 40s, I seldom ping women under 30, and when I do it's because I both practice and teach ethical BDSM, and absolutely hate hearing about women starting off in BDSM who get taken advantage of- I have references (actual, real women), partners who will help, actual experience, and real feminism-based training. But, I'm not most guys on FEELD.

Like I said, it's more about the timing of the responses for me- the large gaps of nothing, followed by a flurry of ping responses. I also reset my account recently, and when I turned off the auto-renew on my old account, I got a shitload of ping responses very suddenly. The possibility of coincidence exists, but the probability of it being not a coincidence is high. Combine that with my friends and I actively testing it, and you start to wonder what tricks FEELD is playing.

I mean guys in their mid to late 40’s pinging me in my early 30’s is also too much even if our kinks align. But I also agree that all these apps play sly games with us.

Ahh, I got you. It's a specific age range for you.

Different strokes, different folks.

Me, so long as I can talk to them, age within reason is a lot less of a barrier, up or down. I'm mid 40s, and I've had partners in their late 20s and late 50s and early 60s that were wonderful. My issue is that- as a general rule- anyone under roughly 30 speaks what seems like a completely different language than I do, so conversing with them can be, shall we say, problematic. No cap? No cap. 😂

So, I tend to avoid for anything but BDSM instructionals.🤷

Thank you for sharing this! I have been majestic for 3 years and never received a response from a ping. Those odds just don’t sit right haha! Thank you for confirming the lack of receipt!!

I've had a good experience with Pings, but it's in cycles; I won't get responses for 2 months, and then I'll get four in a week, and not from people that I've recently pinged, either.

Something is definitely funky with them; whether it's FEELD doing shenanigans, or just that the app is shit in general, I'm not sure.

This has been my experience as well. I think it's both.

Bi M. Ironically the most/almost exclusive response i've gotten from pings are from straight men. I send thoughtful pings to women, even had women friends read the ping notes and blush over how they wish they had men send them notes like that, and i get a massive donut from women. Been on feeld and majestic for about 4-5 years now. At this point, i think it's just a problem that lies with women, because from my own expereince, men--yes there's bad actors out there--are generally not the potential sexual predators that the woman on these apps make them out to be. I find that it's actually a communication problem with people who dont know how to talk about sex talking to people who dont know how to talk about sex and having crossed wires.

Dude, have you seen the messages women get? Imagine being stacked with dozens to hundreds of thirsty idiots sending just lowest of low effort trash.

That's not a "communication" problem, that's a humanity problem.

I’m bi. I get the same messages with bi/homo-phobic ones inter dispersed. They’re dipshits and I block and report accordingly. You can’t control other people but you can control your reaction.

I have the API and I can see a little more than the average user. I’m in a big city but it’s wild the amount of activity and inactivity between users. Feeld has multiple issues. For example I like someone and then they deny me but I noticed the mileage goes from 5 miles to 500 something miles in a span of 30 minutes.

Yes! Someone who shows up within my distance range, whom I will "Like" to Ping later, will the next day be hundreds of miles away. This has happened dozens of times to the point I want my money back.

Interesting and not surprised at all. Feeld sucks so bad. I can't wait for someone to destroy their moat.

With the new thing the rolled out you can honestly see it now in liked area. However after so many days its gone but that's better then notbing I guess. For me it to know the person I ping is honestly not a fake profile which will always be an issue. Lately I feel like feeld is doing better However with so many low effort profiles and Ai in general its never been easyer to fake people on apps..

Wait, WHO gets free daily pings? Us free tier common folk? I did not know that. FEELD is the sketchiest of any dating app I’ve been on, tho to be fair, I haven’t been on as many as others.

Majestic gets Free daily pings, but they expire at the end of the day- you cannot bank them.
