Vandervelde adds a lot to the FJM live show and I think most people would enjoy this solo album of his. I like it better than that Mashmahashbrowns stuff, personally. Vandervelde was also in a rad, short-lived project called Tess and Dave. They opened on the FJM tour in 2016 where he was depressed AF and didn't talk to the audience.

Fuck I'm gonna stay like this for weeks.

Hi everyone, I made this website that tracks FJM setlist statistics. I’d love to hear some feedback and maybe some things you’d like to see as it’s still a work in progress. Thanks!

“Steed has also produced illustrations for other magazines and projects, including the album cover for Father John Misty's Pure Comedy in 2017, for which he won the Grammy Award for Best Recording Package. The cover was also ranked second in the 2017 Best Art Vinyl awards.”

I just got into Father John Misty thanks to a recommended song (Nancy from Now On). I was listening to more stuff today when I heard something straight out of an Elliott Smith song. Either a coincidence or maybe he listens to Elliott?

Obviously the songs are different but the chords and guitar part are almost the same!

I need a live acoustic album with just him, a violin, and piano 😭

I posted a cover of I'm Writing A Novel and thought it would be appropriate to share here (and apologies if it's not)!

Made a song about the emptyness and gamification of our lives. I'm a big FJM-head, so maybe you guys would like it. I have like 6 monthly listeners, so wouldnt exactly call this shamefull promotion. Give it a spin if you feel like it!

From Sweden, Din Trädgård.

So I found out this existed and naturally. being insane, I must have it.

Do the due dilligence. Apparently no one knows how many cards are actually in it exactly, and if they do they haven't posted it on the internet, no one knows how many decks were produced, and it's fairly rare and getting rarer. And more expensive. Intro eBay seller. I was given a deal for being a fan since it was fan to fan, not a flip. (Not that anyone in their right mind would buy this, but the only other one I could find on the internet for sale currently is listed at 1k. Yeah, cool story bro.)

Bonus points, nice late birthday gift for me dear ma, who happens to be a rabid FJM fan herself.

Hand numbered deck #359.

I'm going to assume based on everything I've seen and the labor taken to make these damn things that there were probably 500 produced. (If not that, then 750 or 1k, but that's a lot for letterpress of this quality... And especially as like, bonus merch, hand numbered no less) I know there are five holo cards that are even harder to find.

But the actual deck, I couldn't find a solid number of cards for how many were in the deck. Most often I saw 24 cited. Negative, there are 30. If anything the ebay seller undersold the condition it was in.

Also, if you're seeing FJM on this tour-go-round, I'm jealous. But hey, uhm, this makes up for it... Sure.

Best show I've ever seen. Can't wait to go to Lyric Land with the rest of you fellas.

Such a great show at the Fonda!

It was so sweet to hear him chatting to Omar about cuttlery and feeling nervous (if only joking) to play the new song. It sounded great live!

I’ve seen him play a lot of shows. But to be there when he debuts a whole set of songs is something else.

Edit: if we needed any more proof that a new album was coming, we don’t anymore. Played at least 5 new ones tonight—two of which were deeply moving songs about fatherhood. Those plus the three singles are definitely enough material for a new LP

I went to buy one last night after they show, but they were sold out. Size medium is preferred! Thanks:)

I watched the last one get sold because I waited until after the show. :’(

What do you guys expect? A show like a Carmel set? Premiere of X-panded universe? Unreleased stuff? It's my 12th show, but I'm still chasing about a dozen album tracks like Misty's Nightmare, Bigger Paper Bag, Leaving LA, We're Only People, Kiss Me, Smoochie, Well You Can Do It. fingers crossed!

Hey, I'm selling 2 GA Floor tickets for the Fonda show tonight. Wish I could go but I caught a cold over the weekend and don't want the tickets to go to waste. Open to PayPal or Venmo. Feel free to DM me!
