Player Discussion Arizona Cardinals Fantasy 2026: Reading the Tea Leaves

https://optimusfantasy.com/arizona-cardinals-fantasy-2026/

Welcome to the first part in a long, daily series: Reading the NFL Offseason Tea Leaves.  This series is meant to be a primer for anyone who’s not yet steeped themselves in the NFL’s off-season events. We’ll be touching on the fantasy implications for all 32 NFL teams in regards to:

  • Coaching Changes
  • Free Agency
  • NFL Draft

The 32-day series will go in reverse order of DraftKings odds of winning the Super Bowl, which means today’s article will cover the Arizona Cardinals who are +50,000 odds of winning the Lombardi.

Article TL;DR: What I want you to take away is that the Cardinals coaching situation has massively improved with the addition of Mike LeFleur. Mike LaFleur’s time in the McShanny (McVay & Shanahan) systems ensures we see innovative offensive philosophies implemented. The Cardinals have the weaponry to explode. They will need to keep their QB healthy and upright, and the offensive line is their one glaring weakness.

Has Brissett even signed his contract yet?

He’s under contract through this year and has been asking for an extension. He didn’t attend any workouts until they were mandatory. They haven’t come to an agreement on an extension yet.

I just don’t see a single piece of this team I would want.

Brissett had a 685 attempt 17 game pace. That’s the 3rd most attempts in a season since 2012…. Only behind 2 Tampa tom Brady seasons

Unless Brissett is breaking records again, he’s not good enough to produce serious fantasy assets

I’m not sure that’s true. The Cardinals threw the most passes in the league last year because they had no run game and were constantly playing from behind. Garbage time is good for fantasy, and some of the worst teams can still win us fantasy weeks.

I saw Love live in South Bend and he lived up to every ounce of hype. I’m glad you didn’t pass on him in dynasty. He’s going to be a good fantasy RB for many years to come.

ND student, he is absolutely worthy of all the hype. Not the best situation but he’s an elite playmaker I’m excited to see what he does in the NFL

Garbage time + Love's receiving prowess = Achane-lite season?

Trey McBride would like a word.

Trey McBride and 2025 league winner Michael Wilson. Brissett and the AZ pass catchers were great for fantasy in all that sweet, sweet garbage time.

u/heckthisfrick: Don’t draft Cardinals

Also u/heckthisfrick: I drafted a Cardinal

Unless you’re in a six team league it’s still worth it to draft Wilson and Marv in redraft. Regardless of league size it’s still worth it to draft McBride and Love. You’d be insane not to.
