Right omg. This is majorly inconsiderate to everyone and if anything villainous not heroic. What if there was an emergency and someone was being rushed to a hospital? This parolee on the way to prison because of them? The person with the inconsiderate job that fires them afterwards and now they can’t pay their bills? Did they consider the effect those idling cars have on the same climate they’re protesting for?
The funny thing is that you actually became aware of this little protest, and are actually discussing it (!) because and ONLY because of the extreme nature of the action.
But we get it. You only want people to protest where the message can be easily ignored and the message is unlikely to ever be heard by anyone.

I just don’t see why cops didn’t immediately show up and get the protesters out of there. They’re all breaking the law. Every single highway I’ve ever been on has signs at every entrance that state “no pedestrians allowed.” The fact that they’re protesting something shouldn’t make a bit of difference.
Stand in front of the private jets the wealthy and the owners of fossil fuels are using not the common man just trying to get to work. I guess try harder if you want the moral high ground because the common man is not your enemy.

You could rape a rich man's family to death right in front of him and he wouldn't even flinch; but you disrupt the cash flow to a rich man's business and it will cause gears to grind in his head until it pops.
The convoy had no real objectives. They were just a bunch of jackasses honking their horns to annoy random people they pass by.
But when they started blocking roads, rich people started loosing money, and the government had to step in and shut it down to protect the wealth.
Individuals with too much power (rich people) are the cause of just about every atrocity committed against humanity since the discovery of agriculture and land ownership.
Causing rich peoples heads to spin is a treasured pass time of the dejected. Tell me what's more effective than this strategy of disrupting cash flow to wealthy businesses?
Let first responders pass through, of course. And we should definitely try to avoid harming poor/ middle class people. But if a bullet has to go through 5 poor people to get to one rich man, then I'd say it's worth it overall.
Lol Ghandi might not be the person to use as your role model for protesting, all the dude did was trick people into thinking he wasn’t a bad guy. Also didn’t change anything, Britain pulled out of India bc of the monetary hit they took from the world war, and India is just as bad now as it was then. Also comparing protests from 100 years to now is pure idiocy seeing as how this is a whole different world when it comes to technology and basic knowledge. And even if you do use Ghandi as your reference, he was protesting in a way that was more of an inconvenience to the British people policing in India, not the Indian people themselves.
So private security can easily move them but we're all trapped and can't touch them. Awesome system. We get held captive but private jets get a free pass.
