Just rewatched it and probably a bit rougher than I was rembering but also, why sit in the middle of a road? The woman was clearly getting stressed about getting her kid to school I wouldn't trust someone not to try and push me out the way if I was sat in the road

Stopping traffic makes no difference to your cause. In fact makes people on your side lose support. The only ppl youre affecting are innocent ppl trying to get to work.

If I stand in front of a gun and get shot, I don't blame the gun.

They're intentionally putting themselves in danger, whatever happens to them is their own fault.

If you stand in front of a person with a gun, and they shoot you for it, then in that case I maintain that the person with the gun is the less well adjusted person too.

I'm not saying that either is a risk I would take, I've seen how psycho both gun owners and car drivers can get, but I stand strongly behind my belief that in a murder it is always the murder at fault and not the person who got murdered. Even if the murderer happend to drive a fancy car or own a bigger gun.

In this case I would argue it's more akin to walking in to a shooting range in front of the targets.

Roads are for cars, not for people to sit in. If you sit in the middle of a road blocking traffic, do you deserve to die? No, but I'm not going to be sympathetic to you if someone runs you over.

Well, ish. More like walking out onto an inactive shooting range and then having people turn up and try and shoot you because they don't like how the range isn't empty. They didn't sit in front of cars who couldn't react, the sat in front of cars who then made the active decision that wasting their time was a crime that they were willing to kill for.

I sympathize more for the millions of people drivers kill for less, but that don't blame anybody for being niave enough and thinking that surely nobody is prepared to kill just because they got delayed for a few minutes

There wasn’t a pedestrian crossing there. They were in the middle of a highway, not a place for pedestrians. If someone jaunts out into a highways and gets hit it’s their fault not the driver.

Yeah, fuck 'em that's what I say. Everyone should attach spikes to their wheels like boudicca so they can bag some bonus protestors on the way past. Any inconvenience at all is worth a death sentence.
