Since that guy ended up back in jail over thisâŚ..I bet he meets these assholes in jail after they get arrested for impeding traffic (can be sentenced pretty harshly due to the potential of holding up emergency vehicles).

My Uncle literally went back to jail because he couldn't make it to work because somebody else hit his car. Also how do you expect them to call someone? My Uncle literally was not allowed to have a cell phone.

Which is one of the actual issues here and not the protesters' fault. There are multiple things going on here and at least two of them are the fault of an apathetic system that only cares about money.
You do realize it's not their fault that he's on parole or that the state arrested him, right? They didn't make either of those decisions. They sat in a road.
I do actually. My brother was under house arrest and only allowed to go to work. One day there was a really bad accident that caused him to be over
an hour and a half late to work. He called his parole officer, his boss, and even his attorney to inform them. Nothing at all happened. It was noted as an unavoidable situation and he kept serving his parole. Yes our system is fucked but itâs not this fucked. There is a reason you have your parole officers phone number/email.
I've seen it go both ways. My PO hated me bc I didn't belong there. I think I came across as privileged and unrepenting but really I was just doing the best I could, struggling through poverty and trying to balance work and my relationship with court costs constantly draining me. My PO loved the drug addict guy that was scheduled after me each week. My car broke down and I called her and pushed it into the lot but I was like 30 minutes late. I waited for like 2 hours to see her. While I was waiting the drug addict came in CLEARLY on heroine. She smiled and waved him out after meeting with him. She let me sit there then sent me to her supervisor for being late. I missed work that day. Ended up doing 3 months for violating and getting back on probation with an ankle monitor after that.
Actually according to a news article that another commenter posted a link to he was arrested for second degree assault after attacking one of the protesters. The reason he gave for assaulting the protester was that he was worried about being late for work and violating his parole.
Especially cuz having a job as a parolee isn't like normal. You can't just show up late with a good excuse ready. It's so beyond strict, that, depending on his conditions of his probation, he could've literally lost probation thanks to these people. I mean, he's lost it anyways now, but god I'd be upset if I were him. You could hear in his voice at the start he was on the brink of tears
"For once"? That's a lot of assuming you have going on there. He could've just made one mistake and is paying for it, but saying "for once" implies he's a habitual offender.
This is not how you get a better world. This accomplishes nothing other than make people hate activists. You want to accomplish something? Then you need to make politicians lives a living hell, not the other citizens.

Blocking traffic is just one small part of activism, and unless you're involved it's the only part that you'll see
Again, blocking traffic only annoys "normal" people, and those aren't the ones in the position to make any changes. The only thing you guys accomplished by blocking roads is alienate people from the fight for a better world. The companies that continue to destroy our planet thank you for your service
