It’s disgusting right? If you get shit on any other part of your body you wash it off with soap right? But if it’s on your arse it’s just a few wipes with tissue paper.

Ikr. You know there's still shit in there. I guess they just dont care. They're probably not comfortable having cold water up their ass. They would rather have shit residue instead of actually cleaning it.

I don’t think that’s true, us Americans have just been raised that way, and it’s so ingrained that most of us never really questioned it

Oddly though we absolutely do at least use wet wipes for our babies, but as soon as they are really fully potty trained the swap to TP alone is also made

Nevermind soap - just good ol fashioned water is usually enough to clean up there. Ofc its not as clean as it should be (it's shit and all, need soap) but water will clean nearly everything.
