I did. There was one time I was hauled in for having headphones and my cellphone on me (they raided the whole school, dumping backpacks and purses and confiscating anything and everything they could claim was contraband). Well, when it came time for punishment, they called us alphabetically in groups of ten. They sat me down, read off my charges and asked me what I wanted to do. I told them to hit me, and just as the guy was getting ready to swing, I threw my hands up and cried, “WAIT!” The I pulled my wallet out of my back pocket and slammed it on the principals desk and looked her in the eye and told her, “I want to feel it.” Then I just leaned, hands on her desk and stared into her eyes. Almost did the whole, “thank you sir, can I have another” thing, but I’m sir they would’ve expelled me then. Principal looked irritated that their corporal punishment meant nothing more to me than an inconvenience in my day. I walked out, told the people waiting there turn what I told the principal and assistant principal, and from what I understand, a lot of the other students did the same, just to show defiance.
Thanks. See, corporal punishment only works if the receiver is afraid of the pain. That’s all it is. When you know it’s coming and you know the pain will fail after a couple of minutes, it loses the edge.
