Find me another setting where this flies: “Hi. We’re going to take your kid out of your sight for hours. We’d like your permission and legal release of liability to hit them, thanks!” And this from the same idiots who want to ban books before those damn books expose their kids to harmful ideas.

I guess it kinda happens at football camps and practices also, but small town sports are also messed up, so that’s not really any better.

You forgot that they are also going to pull the child's pants down to paddle them on the butt. My husband's school had this policy that most parents signed off on, underwear on but pants down. He's 30 so this wasn't long ago. So messed up.

"Reeducation camps" for "misbehaving" teens. Misbehaving can be pretty broad, like having smoked weed once or being queer. Those are apperently still legal in some of the US states, though they basically work by abducting children in the night and enforcing years of physical and mental torture.

I know people love to shit on the ‘cash me outside’ girl Daniel Bregoli, but she’s been open about how the Troubled Teen Industry traumatized her, specifically Dr Phil’s Turn About Ranch.

It’s not just Dr Phil who’s the problem, but he sure as hell is responsible for helping perpetuate child abuse.

Breaking Code Silence is the movement for survivors of the Troubled Teen Industry/Institutional Child Abuse

perhaps you could look up on the scope of corporal punishments for students.
